RP FFXIV Art Party - [ February 2024 ]

My lovely Artlings of Light! (aka, those of you who play FFXIV)

I'd like to formally invite you to a special role-play (RP) FFXIV Art Party, to celebrate the inauguration of my Balmung Free Company - Dark Curio!

Premise

Dark Curio is an organisation that specialises in retrieving and conserving artifacts and relics considered to be "cursed", "dangerous" or otherwise unsuited to the public domain. Where these artifacts would end up lost or destroyed, Dark Curio's operaries work to ensure they are instead rehomed in the company's humble gallery (or its vaults, should the screaming whispers emanating from the item encourage visitors to find loose cash at the bottom of a well).

After many years of working in the shadows, Dark Curio is now proud to open its doors to the public, hoping to garner new support in the form of regular visitors, sponsors or even new staff. During the event, all guests will be invited to peruse the collections, rest in our underground garden or use the inspiration drawn from the halls to draft away on their parchments.

Event rules

As this is a role-play event, guests will be expected to show up and speak in-character. To do this, you can use the /say channel and speak in "quotes" or /em followed by an active sentence.

That said, role-playing is not mandatory at all! Should you wish to attend but not engage in RP, you can also use the /say channel and speak in (brackets) to distinguish it from RP chatter, as well as the CWLS we created for all patrons who play the game.

Ultimately, as always, the purpose of this event is mainly to get the chance to meet as many of you in game as possible, while also enjoying a chill evening of drawing together, taking screenshots of each other or simply hanging out and getting to know all the artlings.

You do not have to be an artist to attend this event. You're more than welcome to take screenshots, pop emotes or simply sit around looking dashing. As long as you're part of this community you are welcome to attend even if it's to sit quietly in a corner!

• Where: Mist - Plot 59, 2nd Ward
• Server: Balmung, Crystal DC

FAQ:

• The event is expected to last aprox. 3-4 hours depending on attendance.
• On the day, there will be threads in the Discord server to share your true appearance should your character use mods or if they're an alt from another server cluster
• You may bring a friend or 3, but please keep them abreast of the rules.
