Added 2022-03-12 08:44:51 +0000 UTCA pretty midlander! I loved the simplicity and warmth of this character, and the gentleness of her expression. I normally draw middies with smaller eyes, but the wider, gentler gaze really suited this one. It's also why I really like the colors on the first image (alternative version in the thumbnails), because they're softer and mistief which I think goes quite well with her personality. Which version do you prefer?
On a side note, you wouldn't believe how complicated it is to nail down this halfway face angle, but trust me... it is really complicated. Something about capturing the side of the face and jaw at the right curve and proportions which is probably why searching for drawn refs yielded nothing. There's gotta be a reason why I'm the only sucker who insists on making life hard for myself... ·_·
