Artling of the Month! [ December ]

What dis? You might be asking.

The AoTM is a new feature that I announced last month, intended to celebrate and reward the MVPs of our little Artroom Community. This could go to someone who’s been especially active in giving feedback to other artlings, or who’s posted useful resources, or who’s made a point of making others feel appreciated and heard in the Discord. It could also go to someone who pushed past their comfort zone and took up art or any other skill, or who produced a lot of art or participated in multiple activities in this Patreon. Whoever gets picked will be given an extra amount of StarSticker points and will get the option to be featured in my social media channels.

I am so pleased to announce that the Artroom’s very first Artling of the Month pick goes to Baws!

Baws joined us over a year ago and has since then become a staple presence in our art channels.

Not only has his work and skill evolved wonderfully, but he’s also developed an unmissable style that is simply a joy to look at, full of warm colors and friendly looking characters you’d love to spend an evening with. You can check a few of my favourite pieces of his in the thumbnails above!

Throughout this time, Baws has also been incredibly supportive of other artlings and myself. He has been exceptionally proactive in giving feedback, doing paintovers, sharing a lot of fantastic resources and doing it all with nothing but kindness and positivity.

I could probably go on to gush for another 800 words, but lest I turn into that Spanish grandma that embarrasses the kids with over-enthusiastic affection, I will just leave it at congratulations Baws!
