YT Memberships: What'll change here?
Added 2024-04-27 04:35:26 +0000 UTCIn reality, while not much is changing, there will still be SOME changes to how I feed things out to you, due to restrictions between platform features. BUT these will also only start happening when/if people join as members. Prior to that, things will remain the same. For example:
Early releases will be LOCAL uploads. Straight to Patreon. They will also be deleted shortly after public release (give or take a day). This is only happening due to Youtube's "Member's Only" release feature. Basically, I can't private a video and just send it here or members there won't see it. Likewise, I can't send you all a Members-only upload. You won't have access. I toiled about the best way to handling that issue, and I believe this is the best approach. You'll still get day-early access, you'll just be watching it via Patreon instead of embedded YT links. The regular deletion is purely because of Patreon's file storage limitations.
Really that's the only major one. You're still going to receive the expected bonus offerings. The ability to request songs is actually a Patreon-exclusive feature for now, as Youtube has no way for me to regulate the amount of users on a tier. Also, if you're in a tier below Executive Producer and want to switch to YT membership for whatever reason, the prices are the same.
As things evolve, I may shift around, add or remove perks, but not before informing everyone, free or paid, what those changes will be. As people willing to shovel your hard-earned support my way, transparency is an absolute requirement. Thank you all for sticking around to help me as always <3
