Real talk, Patrons. I need all your opinions.
Added 2023-08-29 03:52:42 +0000 UTCFirst things first, IMO it's kinda barren here for offerings in the drum tech and producer tier. Given my type of content i can't think of anything else i could really offer in addition, but I'm open to suggestions and if i can make them work i will. As-is i feel like there's not too much extra for you all and it feels like you're paying more for no benefit. The following topic may affect your opinion though, so read through it all first 👍
I want to hear your opinions on this well in advance of making the idea more public, but: What are your opinions on the frequency and potentially the nature of my videos changing a bit?
This isn't a "I'm dropping reactions entirely tomorrow" kinda thing, but more of a scaling concept looking forward. Daily reactions are plenty doable on their own atm. However it does restrict the time i could spend on more involved content like covers and even animation reactions (as those just take roughly 4-5 times longer to record/edit). I like doing music reactions, I'm not planning on stopping them. But as I'm not involved deeply with any of the gacha community to know larger opinions, I want to ask you for them. I've gauged the opinions of a few of you in my discord before, but I want personal opinions and what you think your relevant communities may think.
I've mentioned in my discord recently the idea of scaling my recording space up (full acoustic drums, new audio setup, etc.) which would also be months away from completion, but this all relates to the topic of shifting focus as well. I can't risk doing a few thousand dollars of upgrades. It could legitimately damage my livelihood if things go wrong, but it would improve my abilities on YouTube tenfold. Pros outweigh the cons overall. I respect all of you here for just wanting to support me doing what i do, so I also want to make sure I'm not going to make anyone feel like they didn't have a voice in the matter. If some of you support exclusively for reactions, how would YOU react if those slowed down in favor of other projects, you know?
Keep this topic here for now, let me know via the comments below

Honestly that's partially a reason to improve my recording equipment and go acoustic. As-is things are a bit of a bear to set up and I'm rarely happy with the results due to e-kit limitations. I'd love to do more covers going forward but that definitely plays a part in why i don't

2023-08-30 00:25:10 +0000 UTCI'm too bad at writing (not a native eng speaker) and my mind too addled to give an overly insightful response to this but: I don't feel like I'm paying more with no extra benefits to it. I like giving money to people who seem nice and underappreciated, both as a type of encouragement as well as funding for any leisure and/or self-improvement on their part. I have no qualms with the current schedule nor any of the proposed changes to it. As for the studio upgrade, I'm all for it granted that you plan for it appropriately and make sure it doesn't overexert you financially. am done, @ or dm on discord for fastest response if you need anything
