Which animation software do you use?
Added 2025-01-15 03:00:20 +0000 UTCMy main animation software, Cacani, has been outdated for a while with no news or updates, making it feel like abandonware. On top of that, my primary editing software, HitFilm, is being discontinued. Because of this, I’m starting to explore new alternatives. I’d like to know which software is most commonly used, and switching could also make it easier for more supporters to access the source files ꒰(˶• ᴗ •˶)꒱

I use animate but to be honest I'll advice against it with all the cons, like crashing and like I am very efficient with animate but thats just me using it since I was a kid and my workflow I cant say if it will be the same for you, plus adobe is a shitty company and animate is almost abandoned hasnt improved in years and looks like they dont plan to, I recommend ToonBoom Harmony, specially if you learn like the peg/puppet system is kinda hard but would is great I think for your style and you could recycle a lot, Im lookong to get used to toon boom but im kinda just lazy xD,

2025-01-15 03:07:25 +0000 UTCI don't animate, but I have heard of Clip Studio Paint as great. Another one that is not on the list is Blender (which can do 2d animations too); I have heard it is good but has a learning curve.
