Fantastic as a fan of Yamato.

Dan's cutting floor stuff is akin to a good podcast's greatest stuff, and more, though.

Welcome to the club pal. You're in for a treat... we the old breed need to wait long aeons for new episodes, but you newbies can binge on previous content. Enjoy!

More cutting floor stuff

Dan/Ben I’m a newer fan. I showed up late to the podcast party. But I can honestly say I love HH and CS. As a Marine Vet and history fan and amateur historian. The almost of time research that goes into your show is beyond amazing. I can’t express how much I love and enjoy your content.

Is there anyway we can also get a bunch of the "deleted files" that never made it into the main series?

i would love to hear Dan do a take on all the unconventional warfare of WWII, like the use of inflatable tanks and sound machines as diversions, the use of a corpse to make a fake officer to feed bad intel to the nazis, the project to use bats to firebomb japan, or the use of monopoly boards with 'extras' added for POWs to do raids like an episode of Hogan's Heroes...

Thanks for the share! I think it

I tried it and it said it wouldn’t work

I now imagine a huge archive of tapes with sections that were too long.

I agree - perhaps one idea would be that this is 'early access' and the unwashed masses get it X amount of months later. Probably not in HH but in HHA

I agree that everyone should be able to listen to this. It's a great discussion of a fascinating subject. I'm less sure what the best way to handle it would be. I just hate to see something this good get lost.

Thank you Dan and Ben. Excellent. And not depressing as part of the final part was. But that was also great.

Thank you for this. More cutting room floor content!

How about this: patrons can access these Hardcore History "Rough Cuts" as they become available but when the story they relate to moves into the paid section of the HH site, they become part of a "boxed set". The "boxed set" compilation includes all the original parts of the story + the rough cuts; maybe charge a little more over the (separate) compilation that doesn't include them. If you really wanted to go all out, you could even have a "limited" boxed set that would include all that plus a NFT for the artwork too.

More thoughts. Have the regular Hardcore History version , then a less truncated Diamondcore Deep Dive edition. Make the Diamondcore free to patrons while the official release is still free (possibly above a certain contribution level) and available for purchase by the masses.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit since yesterday. While I appreciate the sentiment of rewarding your patrons, I don't really want exclusive content. I support you because I want everyone else to consume the content and be enriched by it. I would be happier with exclusive interaction, maybe give us an update on the progress of your grind every couple months and answer a couple questions.

Wow! Nice way to wrap up Supernova! Thanks Dan !

What a great surprise to wake up to! Thanks for this Dan, you've made my day :)

Always love getting extra content! Thank you Dan!!!

Dan, we really appreciate what you do and are lucky to have discovered your work!

Wow!! I truly wasnt expecting this! Thanks so much!!

Gpowtlaw2

Thank you! Fantastic as usual!

Thanks, Dan! Delighted to have the extra content. Keep up the amazing work! Can't wait to hear what you've got coming up.

Dave

Thank you sir love everything you do

Thank you Dan!! And maybe Ben (from a fellow Ben)

Benjamin K Lau

Thank you Ben!

I second that

Thank you so much! This is like Christmas for me lol

Like preferably every week.

Avery Griffin

Just how much awesomeness did you cut to keep this below some arbitrary time limit? Gimme the 16 hour version.

Sometimes the content is too long, so ends up on the cutting room floor? Hahaha. What measuring stick are you using! :) Love this.

Great idea! Exclusive for patrons who are, after all, the most hardcore fans and would love to hear the whole thing and more!

Well that sucked me right in! The end was an abrupt cliffhanger! Guess I need to go back and listen to SITE Part VI again!

Benjamin Midkiff

This is exactly why I'm a patron and even if you didn't do anything extra I'd still support you. One part I didn't like you saying was "some people said we didn't talk enough about...etc" I know you need unbiased opinions to improve things. But at this point you guys have it down to a science and I hope things don't ever get to you guys or you feel you let anyone down. You're like, the most liked podcast I've ever seen with the best community I've seen.

Other Patreons offer unique per-patron RSS feeds that you can use in Pocket Casts and other podcatchers.Probably just a bit more work for Ben to set that up here--but every bit of work Ben spends on technical stuff means less time he can spend producing content for Dan, so...

Dan Scott

Is there an easy way to get this in our normal Podcast player (Pocket Casts for me)?

GardenGM

That was wonderful Dan! Thank you so much for this! These kinds of things would make a great series or extra show. Great job as usual!

More of these! A whole series: "Jewels from the cutting room floor".

Avery Griffin

I finally appreciate why it takes you months to get series episodes out. This whole segment was cut 🤯

Please, for the love of God, keep doing stuff like this.

Eric Loos

Beautiful Dan. Thanks for sharing.

Jeremy Balliston

Thank you Dan!

Love ❤️ It!

Thank you so much. Always looking forward to hear what you have.

Amazing, thanks for the bonus content!

Is there an RSS link to the Patreon-only feed?

Wow Dan. Thank You. I love you and we appreciate you too. This is brilliant
