Reward phone wallpaper! [Demi Subverse]

Hello my Sweethearts!

I’m really-really glad to be finally able to reach you. And with rewards in my hands.
Once again thank you very much for being understandable on the wait.
In my messages to you I explained why it took me a bit longer. Initially rewards should be sent to you on wednesday, but I didn’t have enough time to prepare everything.
But it also gave us some time to polish certain shots.
Demi photoshoot is the kind of a project that takes all of your energy and patience. To the point it starts to piss you off a bit at the end. Well, it happens to every project involved with body paint. I once had a body paint project, where I needed to redraw everything on post-production! Model was fully covered in paint and it was drawn relatively clean. But images showed a different picture. Mixed colors, faded lines and of course skin/body flaws. Usual stuff. )

In the case of Demi all the headache fell on Tao’s head and I only stopped by for occasional advice on what to do in certain images (where the shadow pattern is hard to understand and easy to edit wrongly). So I don’t have such strong bad emotions towards the project, instead I’m feeling a huge pride. In our Tao’s case I see baggy eyes and a mantra-like quote that sounds like “I should not judge people for falling to their desires. But this Demi fell to her desires too often.”  

Interesting fact from the post-production. Shots with mainly blue light were the hardest ones to deal with. Somehow in all those shots all imperfections are upfront. Whenever you think you finished editing skin, something will appear right in the place you’ve worked on previously. Which is strange. When you use soft light as your main light source all shadows and skin texture are a bit toned down appearing “soft”. You shoot this way in order to shift attention from small details and give the image a more gentle look (if we simplify everything).
But in Demi's images with mainly blue light, the main light source worked as hard light. Which means every pore is visible, every vein protrude, every “wave” is too big and every lazily painted line looks like a stain.
Hard light is hard to shoot with and should be used with care. But it's a great instrument to show the dynamic of the pose, highlight details and bring attention to the subject/object. Athletes are usually shot this way for commercials. )
But we didn’t need it for Demi (she has a smooth surface), so our choice was soft light. But it didn’t work the way it was intended in those shots. )

I hope, as always, you’ll enjoy the reward and it’ll be worth the financial support you shared with me and wait for the post-production end.

Also thank you very much for finding time to vote for the best girl. After the fierce battle, Misato Katsuragi eventually won! At one point I was sweating profusely because it stayed even for the most of the time and while votes rose. I think it was a hard choice for you too, so we’ll do our best to make sure Misato will look as posh as possible. )
