Hello my Sweethearts!
Another week is moving towards its end and that way we came to the end of February.
Today is also the last day of winter! If you don’t love this season I congratulate you, if you love, my condolences. )
As always I don’t like the end of the month. Every end of the month. Mostly because they are always filled with stress and crunches. But I sing this sad song every month so no more. )
Maybe because we are already used to it. At least to a certain extent. And I don’t want to frustrate you with unnecessary whining. )
A little bit, but very important about our Demi photoshoot.
Our Demi’s progress is around 80% right now. Main reason I explained in my previous posts, each image needs as much time as a photoshoot featuring two models.
Let me explain how the retouching process usually goes.
On the first step we choose images that will go in editing and make the first color correction. Every image has different amount of light hitting the camera’s matrix, also we love dynamically change light scheme so the light/color pattern changes drastically. So chosen images should all look as close to each other as possible.
Second step is retouching itself. Which consists of several steps too. Body morphing, adding or removing necessary body parts (if needed), patching visible skin blemishes/acne/scars, adding/removing hair and background objects, editing skin color, editing skin texture, adding or removing light pattern on the body and face, altering and highlighting eyes color/light, adding color grading (stylistic color pattern, the most famous ones in cinema are sepia look for films in 70th or till and orange look in big blockbusters for example), adding one last edits if there are mistakes in decisions.
These all are usual steps.
In Demi’s case we’re adding some more steps. Redrawing lines and make up, more time on editing skin color because paint smears everywhere, altering skin color to resemble robot like look, add color to joints, add additional light to resemble shiny smooth texture of body plates and joint segments, add glowing effect to resemble android look more and create dreamy effect, add more texture on the image to make it bit grungy (we as humans love when the object we are looking at has certain rough texture, so our brain could recognize the object. Same works with the color. For example, if we are used to tomatoes being red, it’s necessary to preserve the red tone even in stylized image).
So everytime we think the image is finished there’s always something left. And it’s frustrating. )
That’s why it’s taking longer.
Here’s the last visual progress update from the Demi photoshoot. I hope you’ll enjoy this image and this will smooth out your waiting frustration.
We need a few days to finish everything properly and make sure to fix every little detail if there are mistakes. It’s already a second week without weekend rest for us,but this project is heavy as giant rock (insert curse word). Once again, it’s frustrating. )
I’m not sure we’ll be able to share rewards this weekend, so it’ll appear in your message boxes next work week. I wanted to make sure you’ll know. )
Tomorrow or these weekend I’ll come back again and announce the Main March project. I have prepared something interesting for you!
Have a great day! See you soon and please stay safe. )
