Easter special!

Hello my Friends!
How were you doing since my last post here? ) I hope it was full of wonderful things and if previous months weren't that great you are starting to recover!
I was pretty busy these days with rewards and one thing I wrote about in my last post. I'm still busy, so post won't be long.
I wanted to show it to all of you on exact day, but decided it'll be too disrespectful to certain part of people. By certain I mean religious.
No more hiding it: I made Easter Special for you and now I'm going to show you very fisrt photo we made ) Overall special won't be that big, very small amount of shots, but we spent a lot of time shooting it. Aaaand this time it'll be me as a model *blushing like little girl*
We tried some food photography techniques on this shoot, beginning with light and ending with "food substitutes". Not all things went as we expected, since we are not familiar and experienced with food shooting. So at one point we switched to more familiar fasion technique. By  "food substitutes" i mean cases when you need to replace one food product with product not related to food. For example, a bit watered white glue can be used as substitute to milk during comercial video shoot. Because it has this "viscous" texture which regular milk don't have. The more you know, right? )
So we tried to use different things to replace glaze with something different, because regular one based on water will crumble when dried. In the end we didn't find proper substitute, so we needed to try different glaze recipes. The one you see in photo is based on sugar powder, milk and lemon juice according to Tao.
It still was crumbly at the end, but since we shooted many hours straight it was a good result )
I was saving it until this time mainly because easter date is different in the world. For example it was on 21st in western counties and on 28th in Russia, due to different religious calendars. As I said earlier I didn't want to be disrespectful, that's why sharing it only now )
Hope you'll like the first shot, please don't expect much in the final stage, because there barely were good enough shots in our opinion. But we'll work hard to deliver as much as we can )
Easter is a day, when hopes for better future will be clear and show itself to everyone. At least I interpret this day to myself, because I'm not religious myself.
So I see it as a day, when all of us will leave all bad things behind and go forward with brighter future. Wish you that my Dear Friends )
