Hi JFM and Ryan, great podcast episode! When I was applying to college, I was a low-income, first generation student looking to avoid student loans as much as possible. Based on my experience, I found that some of the elite/ivy schools actually provided the BEST financial aid as opposed to some of the smaller private colleges. Even some in-state school packages didn’t match up. I know the initial sticker price of 60k+/year often scares people, but I’m a strong supporter of encouraging high-achieving low-income student to apply to these schools (if interested) because they often times they have extremely generous financial aid programs and scholarship. Mostly want to move away from the notion that “elite” schools cannot be affordable because from my experience, that wasn’t the case. It’s certainly possible to graduate debt-free!

I’m a lawyer and I expect this covid19 experience is going to change how I work forever. A lot of tasks I used to do in the office or in person in court, just because of tradition or custom, but now I’m getting those same tasks done remotely. I bet many lawyers and judges will continue to work remotely to some extent and save time and money even after we’re out of lockdown.
