Quarantine Qasts

Serpentine lines stretched around grocery stores. Hollowed out stripmalls. Self-imposed house arrest. Our "new normal" doesn't feel normal at all. With the twin terrors of financial and physical uncertainty, an undercurrent of anxiety runs through our days. But perhaps there's a way to find calm—and, dare we say, even to thrive—amid the chaos. Let's consider this line of thinking together.

Throughout April 2020, in addition to our regular podcast episodes, The Minimalists are going to explore these abnormal times through "Quarantine Qasts," a series of video and audio recordings that will be free to all of our Patreon supporters.

Quarantine Qonversations: Joshua and Ryan will reach out to loved ones to get their take on current events; together, they'll unpack various best practices for coping with the related stressors. (Talk about your fears in the comments below so J&R can address them on the podcast.)

Quarantine Qalm: An audio meditation to help us find peace and tranquility within the disarray.

Five Stages of Quarantine: Joshua and his six-year-old daughter, Ella, will discuss the five stages of grief as it relates to our current state of affairs.

Big thanks to our Patreon supporters. Today, your support means more than ever. Since we had to postpone our next tour, cancel all summer speaking gigs, and pause production on our next film, it is your support that keeps our message afloat during these trying times and allows us to pay Podcast Shawn, Social Jess, Jordan Know Moore, and the rest of the folks who help us create something meaningful. We're grateful for your contribution.

Great photos.

Guys, this is my first comment. We've been traveling the world for 15 months and are now locked down in New Zealand. We sold everything in late 2018 and now own 6 suitcases and 4 personal backpacks for a family of four. I believe it's prepared us for this time. We continued to minimize distractions, toxic relationships and even meat out of our diet. I believe it's a great time to clear the noise in our lives and get clear about what we value and why. I love what you've created. Thank you!
