Boom!

The Minimalists

So actually Josh was right about the finger touching a hot object. This is actually a reflex reaction and does bypass the brain. The stimulus goes to the spinal cord with the sense of heat and then creates the motor output to remove the finger from the hot object. Every second counts in those situations when one could possible get hurt. So we don’t have to be zombies due to reflex reactions. Same kind of thing at birth with let’s say the babinski reflex but gets overrided in a normal nervous system unless the spinal cord gets damaged, then it shows back up and we know it’s a spinal cord injury! . We test these all the time being a physical therapist. Love you guys, keep up the good work!
