I went without a cell phone for years - all through college and for some time after. I found a lot of peace from being able to escape and have truly quiet moments. But I also found that it made me more responsible and reliable. If I made plans, I had to keep them because there wasn’t that ability to text a last minute “I’m running late” or “something came up”. Now I have an iPhone and I use it ALL THE TIME, mostly for work, but also at the gym, in my car, etc. It’s become a chain with greatly exaggerated imagined value. Realizing how “I need it for work” is the lie I tell myself is helping me slowly add no phone time to my days.

I would love to find the "Just right pants" I have two things keeping that goal at a distance. There are no ethically minded clothing stores near me, and I'm about 25% success at ordering clothes online and them fitting perfectly. I try to be as wastefree as possible, but sending the clothes back to the online stores after they don't fit seems to be very wasteful to me. Hopefully one day i will find the "just right pants".
