"Gone" Postscript

Patreon Exclusive! Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus host a private podcast session for their Patreon supporters with their Less Is Now Vancouver audience, and they answer the following questions:

Why do you think you receive any criticism at all for spreading such a positive message?

How do I resolve my feelings of guilt regarding all the items that I purge that must wind up in a landfill?

How do I deal with the difficult decisions regarding what items, values, beliefs, relationships, etc., to let go?

Is it possible to take minimalism too far?

I always think of what Zero Waste Home (a blog I love) has said about approaching a zero waste lifestyle. The first step is REFUSE--refuse to bring these items into your life, which is so so so important, if not. Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot. I love how Zero Waste and Minimalism complement each other!

I think Zero Waste is about "throwing out" less, and Minimalist is about "bringing in" less. And for me both complement each other very well :)

I discovered Minimalism through my approach to studying and practicing Zero Waste (maybe a few years later). I cannot think of a way to separating the two in my life, they are so intertwined.

This was great. Deeply personal and resonating. I got a great deal out of it. I imagine you guys are fully aware of the groundswell your message is having. I have read so many of the recommended authors and guests you have featured, and I continue to hone my true north. Thank you, Brothers.
