◆ Introduction:

This is the main download page for the Ride Together Mod. Anytime you want the latest version, you’ll be able to find it here. Future updates will be announced in the Preview Post, but this post will always stay up to date with the newest download link and a full recap of all features.

💡 This is only a recap of the mod. You don’t need to read the entire preview description to understand how to use it — everything essential is right here. Still, since this is a bigger mod with lots of moving parts, I recommend checking out the preview post too, where you’ll find a deeper breakdown of the mechanics, extra notes, and things to keep in mind while playing.

◆ Release History

• [UTOPYA] Ride Together Mod a0.1:

  • Added full Ride Together system with passenger picker.

  • Two new Bicycles: Vintage Bicycle (30 swatches), Rental Ebike (5 Swatches)

  • Sync interactive Animations While Riding mechanic added.

  • 5 new interaction types (Casual, Scenic, Intimate, Risky, Flirty Risky).

  • Added eBike Rental System functional stations, with decorative objects

  • Added rental timer, fines, and mailbox return system.

◆ How It Works

🔷 Ride Together Interactions:

• Choose a ride type → pick your passenger. Then you can choose Bike Here (go to a location) or Ride Around (hang out together).

• Carrying a passenger isn’t effortless; it will slowly drain your Sim’s Energy and Hygiene, reflecting the extra physical effort.

  • If your Sim’s Fitness is below Level 6, riding for too long can trigger negative buffs.

  • On Risky Rides, this may show up as a Tense/Fear buff from wobbling or feeling like they might fall.

  • On all ride types, Sims may eventually get Sore Legs (Uncomfortable) from the strain.

• On eBikes, these penalties don’t apply. No Energy/Hygiene drain, no negative buffs

🔷 Renting System Rules:

• You need a rental station to be able to rent an e-bike

• Only the Sim who rents the eBike (and their household members) can use it.

• Each Sim can only rent one eBike at a time. If you want to extend the rental, you’ll need to return the bike and rent another one.

• Sims outside of your household can’t use your rented eBike. However, I’ve added a debug interaction called “Grant eBike Access.” It's only useful if you’re using a mod that lets you control NPCs.

🔷 Returning & Fines:

• To return the eBike (and pay any fines), it needs to be in your inventory.

• If you accidentally sell the eBike or something goes wrong, don’t worry — there’s a debug option on the station (Shift + Right-Click) called “Reset Renting Status.” This resets things so you can rent again.

⚠️ Note: You really shouldn’t sell the eBike, it’s worth §0 anyway. And don’t worry about losing your eBike when traveling. It will always stay in your Sim’s inventory,

◆ Alpha State & Known Bugs (Read Before Playing)

🔶Don’t cancel sitting while moving. Always stop first by canceling Ride Around or Bike Here, then cancel Ride Together.

• If canceled too early, the riding interaction will be canceled, but the animations will keep going for a little bit.

🔶Don’t travel with both Sims while still on the bike. Always dismount the passenger first

• If ignored, the passenger may bug out (like a rabbit hole). → Fix: travel again, and they’ll reset.

These issues won't break youre game or anything that big, they’re just animation/system quirks due to Sims 4 limitations.

◆ Important Notes on Installation

🔹 Requires: Lot 51’s Core Library (make sure it’s updated).

There are five packages included in this release:
Essential Files (must-have):

• [UTOPYA] Ride Together_Mod a0.1 → The core mod (keep this updated).

• [UTOPYA] Vintage Classic_Bicycle → Custom bicycle required for Ride Together.

  • You can use it like any regular bike, but since the base game doesn't have any bicycles, it requires the Ride Together Mod to function.

• [UTOPYA] Rental Ebike Station → The functional rental station required to rent eBikes.

Decorative Add-ons (optional):

• [UTOPYA] Rental Ebike_Non Functional → Decorative eBike.

• [UTOPYA] Rental Parking Dock → Decorative parking dock.

📂 Place all package files into your Mods folder.
For better organization, you can create a sub-folder named UTOPYA_RideTogether and drop all packages inside. (Just make sure the folder isn’t nested deeper than 5 levels, or the game won’t load the mod.)
