(Preview) Together on a Laptop | Gameplay Mod

Hey everybody, I hope you are all doing well! I’m thrilled to announce that the mod is finally complete, and I couldn’t be more excited about how it turned out! ✨

As you can see in the Preview, this mod allows your Sims to watch videos together on their laptops.

First of all, I apologize for the delay. It took more time than anticipated, and it wasn’t easy to figure it out. This feature was originally part of a larger mod that I had planned to release. However, I didn’t want to rush the entire Mod and release it with a lot of experimental features (like making sims sit together and "using a laptop"), so I decided to focus on polishing this interaction and release it separately.

Getting the sims to watch something together using a laptop was something that many of you requested. So there you have it: now your sims will be able to do that.

The laptop is fully functional with sounds and everything. And you can use youre own laptop and let your couple sims watch some videos together,

I am really happy with how it turned out and glad that I made the decision to just focus on it, I think that I have managed to make it work as smoothly as possible, and this will significantly help to build up from it, 

More About the mod:

So, what’s this mod all about? It’s called Together on a Laptop; as I said, this was part of a big mod, so the name may change in the future. Now, your Sims can snuggle up on the sofa and use their laptops to watch some videos together before going to bed,

This is a romantic interaction, so it will only be available for couples; the new interaction can be found on any sofa or loveseat and will also work for CC (Custom Content) sofas.

If there are multiple sims that you can do interactions with, the interaction will lead then to a picker, and then you can choose with who you want to watch, but if there is only one sim, it will then appear with their name directly,

• For the interactions to appear, you will need a laptop in your sim inventory, and yes, it will also work with Custom Content Laptop.

• If you have multiple laptops in your sim inventory, then the animation will use one of them randomly,

• Also, the interaction won't appear if there isn't any sim that you have with more than 40 in romance.

Possible Outcomes:

When I first started working on the interaction, my initial plan was for the Sims to watch a movie together, like a laptop date night. However, since the in-game laptop doesn’t have anything close to that (i am speaking about the content of the screen), I shifted the focus to a more casual sit, like watching some videos on YouTube or something. you can still play with it as a laptop date Night, but it will also be able to work in all other situations.

With that in mind, I made it so that, depending on the time of day, Sims will receive unique buffs that boost different moodlets. For example, they might get an energized buff in the morning, feel playful by midday, or become flirty in the evening.

This is still a romantic interaction, so there is a slow chance of getting some flirty moodlets. Overall, the interaction will feel like a different experience each time you use it.

The interaction will also help Your sims with their social/Fun Needs, and it will also increase a little bit of their romantic relations,

Some upcoming features:

There are a lot of things that I want to make with this mod. The first main thing (which is coming soon) is to create a bed Interaction. I have already made some animations for the bed, but there are still some technical issues with it.

I also want to make some new fun interactions, like watching streams together, browsing social media, playing a video game, or maybe reading something together.

There is also an idea about learning skills together, like computer skills, programming or writing maybe even some other generic skills. The Sims already read books to learn certain skills, so why not read them on the computer together?

Things To clarify:

• This mod is BG-compatible. and it will work with any Custom Content Laptop and sofas

• For the interaction to show up, you will need a laptop in your sims inventory (not the household inventory).

• If your Sim has multiple laptops in their inventory, they’ll randomly choose one when the interaction starts.

• If the interaction doesn't appear even if you already have a laptop, it must be that there isn't a sim to do it with. Within the lot, make sure that their romance bar level is more than 40

• To prevent any glitches, the interaction will reserve the sofa for just the two Sims involved, so no third Sim will be able to sit on it during the interaction.
