We arrived on Sanibel Island today for the week that we booked almost 16 months ago. I called to get our front door security code and was told that there was no record of my reservation other than the one I made last year.
I forwarded the email that I was sent confirming my reservation 1 year in the future. For those who don't know, 2 days ago marks the 1 year anniversary of hurricane Ian, which completely devastated the Island.

The lady who I booked with went dead silent after telling me that she was at full capacity.

She called in a favor and upgraded us. Yall, I ain't gonna lie, this place goes for about 4 times what we paid for the week. I honestly can't believe we're here. There'll be a lot of content. I want to remember this week forever. Holy shit.
