2023-07-05 23:43:01 +0000 UTCHonestly man it was humbling. Like I'd said before on that post, we consider ourselves river people, and it's easy to get comfortable. This time we had a close brush with disaster and tragedy, and the respect that had waned came back full force. I've already placed emergency supplies in the car. Not to say we'll be letting the dogs swim in a fast river again, but if someone goes down river on my watch, I've got 200 feet of floating rope, a spare life vest, and we are re introducing the dogs to their life jackets.
