So I am late because I got behind but finally catching up in my rewatch with Javi. So late but the few things I want to mention. 1) Santa, Junior and Mark imo give the best performances of the show. Gun’s shock and heartbreak was so well portrayed. Santa killed it. 2) I HATED the kiss writing decision. It was so unnecessary it felt forced. It didn’t feel like a natural choice Yotha or Wa would have made in that moment. And 3) I understand WA’s guilt and wanting to be there for Yotha but I feel like he’s overestimating his importance a bit. Mean as that sounds. Yotha has two loving present brothers and it is unhealthy for him to build his world around love interests, especially when he’s so young. Wa trying to be there for him every second could easily be contributing to holding Yotha back and him not moving on. Sometimes space is necessary and good and healthy. I am very close to one of my exes, but we took the time away from each other. And neither of us feels this guilt causing an unhealthy co-dependency, which is where Wa and Yotha are struggling. I feel like Yotha would have benefited from Wa giving more distance after their break up rather than trying to force a close friendship before Yotha had let go.

2025-04-27 23:05:25 +0000 UTCso for me although the situation is frustrating I am not frustrated. I think that saying "just talk about it" with Yotha is a bridge too far. Like what about Yotha up to this point shows us he's a person who 1. Knows how to access and understand his feelings 2. Is in any way shape or form good at communications 3. Knows how to understand Gun's feelings. I fully believe he is doing everything he is capable of. Is it frustrating that it's not enough? Yes but Yotha is a frustrating character which to me isn't bad writing but honest writing. Every character can't just know what to do and how to do it. I know so many emotionally stunted people in my life. I know a Yotha or two....just saying.
