I know I’m watching this late with Javi but I just want to add a little perspective. Yes, Dohoe’s dad is super abusive and I’m not saying it’s healthy, but Dohoe and Juyeong’s traumas are different. Juyeong was neglected and abandoned by so many people. The Grandmaster was abusive but he never abandoned anyone (probably should have considering). I have a good friend who was abandoned by her parents and ended up in foster care. Her mom was physically abusive but never “abandoned” her so even after she turned 18 she kept in contact with her for years. She basically said it didn’t matter that she hit her because at least she stuck around, that made her family. Now, she is 34 and has finally cut her out but when people used to judge her for not leaving her foster mom, she didn’t know how to get people to understand that she couldn’t. To this day she feels guilty about cutting her off eventually because she felt like she was “abandoning” her. People have different traumas and react to trauma differently. J may have partially kept grandmaster in his life because of it being a connection to Dohoe, but I also feel like with his parents having pretty much disowned him, with Dohoe “abandoning” him, grandmaster was the person in his life who stuck around, even if that’s a bad presence, that’s a powerful influence. Also, anyone who judges J for keeping the grandmaster in his life despite the abuse but is fine with Dohoe keeping his other abuser in his life in a much closer position, is being hypocrite simply because the other abuser is hot.

2025-02-21 18:03:36 +0000 UTCI love Juyeong, he’s the greenest flag ever and I understand that he wanted to have some kind of connection with Dohoe’s life but like… keeping in touch, caring and being present for the one who abused the person you love the most is wild to me. I completely understand Dohoe for running and never looking back, because even if he did, Juyeong would still be attached with the past that he wanted to forget. And also (unpopular opinion maybe?! lol) I would not be mad if Dohoe and Hyeonho have had something, that boy might be trash but he’s fineeee. Yeah get that D sir, get that D 🙂↕️
