I really love this series too. so realistic! I don't think it's bl series, it's queer... LGBTQA+. It should be start from early 2010's(given club music + they're in senior at 2015) I think ep1 to ep2, almost 3~4yrs passing. Usually in Korea, guys graduate late than woman because of military service. (And Mi-ae got a job early).

This show sucks me in. These actors are so good at portraying so clearly how their characters feel in these situations and making you feel everything along with them (at least for me). I feel like we all know people like this, if we are not them ourselves - loneliness, relationship breakdowns, moving, grief, meeting new people…it’s hard not to relate, you know? Even if you don’t like them (for some fucking reason because they are lovely).
I was thinking a lot of hate comes from misinformation. Anthropologically, our species evolved to react in fear and sometimes disgust to things we don’t understand or new things so that we tread carefully in case of danger. If you see a lion for the first time, it’s evolutionarily beneficial for you to be on alert than to go pet the kitty. Unfortunately this also means things like racism, homophobia, etc. etc. are so prevalent especially in areas where there’s less exposure. The good news is you only have to meet one gay person, one black person, one [insert minority] for that fear to lift and see that these people are just as worthy of love and respect as everyone else. This show is great because I feel like a lot of people don’t get out much - at least not outside their circle - but you almost feel like these characters could be your friend. I honestly could see my mom watching this and at least finding the bond between the besties sweet (she’s SUPER conservative so that’s saying a lot). It’s like a heart-opening show if that makes sense 😂 🥴 ♥️

And I don't know if anyone even commented but the actor who plays the ex-boyfriend who passed away is the lead in The New Employee, he is very cute in both

I wouldn't call it BL, it's a very well done LGBT series. I think it's the first series that really made me cry in 2024. I love every minute of it.

I bow to you for managing not to watch this show in one go... 😉🤪 I've already finished it 3 times and I'm now eagerly waiting to watch it with you again.
Personally, I can understand that not everyone likes this type of show, but I don't understand not liking the characters. I love everyone because I have met every character in my life and have often behaved similarly.
(Aah, it's harder to write about when you have to use a translation program. 😁) Anyway, I love this series.❤️

Every episode so far feels real which is why its kind of bittersweet. I like both characters even if they get annoying or do things that are harsh or don't make sense. That's real life. Most BL is meant to be fantasy. Honestly, this doesn't seem like a BL at all. It feels more like a k-drama that revolves around the life of a gay man rather than a typical BL which follows a fairly standard pattern. I think people like BL for its predictability. But I think this show is really important and I hope the right people see it.
