This is a really emotional episode, but emotional in a positive way. First of all there is what is essentially Isaac coming out to his friend group as aro ace, and the way they accept it, and then Charlie, finally telling his parents about his mental health problems. It can be tough to watch, but it’s the most positive way of these things could have worked out. I also like the way when Elle confronts Tao about how poorly he’s treating his friends, unlike season 1 Tao who would simply deny it for episodes at a time, this time he immediately goes to Isaac and apologizes. We’re getting growth and all of the characters, and I love the way it’s done.
