2024-09-25 18:12:12 +0000 UTCI felt so bad for Jack in that scene when Hope was beating up the bodyguards. He looked so hopeless especially after the call from grandma. It also seemed to me that he was trying to keep busy by cleaning the graffiti so he wouldn’t have to hurt them.

I think Jack definitely gave Joke the ring, bc he knew they'd search him, but I do think it's also a great gesture of trust, bc it kind of signifies that he trust Joke to actually give him back the ring someday, when it's safe. I think it's a well done first step into building up Jack's trust in Joke again and building their relationship. Tattoo definitely annoyed me this episode. He could have easily just asked Joke for help with his debt (or at least for ideas on how to get the money for it) - he knew that Jokes philosophy has always been to help the poor, why would he not think that that could include him? Instead of betraying him and almost getting him caught bc he fucked up the plan, they could have worked together! Also, you asked what Tattoo and Hoy were getting out of this heist - nothing really, but they were the ones begging to be included! Joke wanted to do this job alone, as he always does, but the two of them were begging him to include them bc they are fans of his. They didn't have to work with him if they didn't want to do it for free, that was their own decision.
