Yeah I never understood the plan. It never made any sense because she kept saying that if she could find her mom’s true love she could prevent herself from being born but she didn’t actually replace her mom. Her mom was still living in that timeline in the U.S. and we saw her dad was moving there too. They were still going to reconnect there just like they did in the original timeline. If she found her mom’s true love, then what? Was she going to call her mom and say “I’m your daughter from the future, I found your true love and he still likes you so come back to Korea?” Did she think something like that was going to work? In a show about time travel where you have to take a lot of liberties, the logic behind her entire plot point was just…not there. I love this show but that has always bugged me especially because so much time was spent on it.
