There is nothing more pure, wholesome and heartwarming than Li Ming's overwhelmed happy reaction to hearing Heart's voice for the first time. That was honestly the best scene for me and I just can't stop tearing up just thinking about it. They're so pure and need to protected at all costs. Gaipa.... the way Khaotung acted this scene shattered me.... you can feel the moment his hope dies and his heart gets crushed.... unrequited love is so hard and Khaotung did a wonderful job showing it to us in the way he tried to hide his tears and keep his hands busy to just try to hide how he just was seconds away from crying.... I really hope he will meet his one soon 🥺🥺 The first time we saw Beam in the flashbacks I was wondering if maybe Beam died and that's why Jim couldn't move on. But they only showed us that he was cheating... but now... damn, how hard it must have been for Jim all these years filled with guilt, regrets and doubts... no wonder his walls are so high... thankfully he had closure now and he can start to really move on at last. The scene at the beach was so beautiful and the cinematography was breathtaking! Li Ming and Heart definitely stole the show again for me. Li Ming talking to the mom and making her realise how Heart had been so happy socialising again. I'm in no way defending her for her behaviour and choices regarding Heart the past 3 years, but I think she believed she had lost her son in a way, and was mourning his old life. I can't speak from experience, and it's probably very different, but in social work, you often see parents acting so overprotective of their child when they have a disability. And many have a hard time accepting that the disability doesn't mean their child's life is over. I think that the mom and the dad really need to educate themselves, go to that pastor who helped Li Ming understand Heart better, learn sign language... At least, she is not preventing Heart from seeing Li Ming, and she's listening to Li Ming, so baby steps I guess. Heart's pure joy when he sees Li Ming again, I cried!!! The new year celebrations was so pure, the way they communicated with their eyes before the kiss felt so natural. As you said, by this point they know they have feelings for each other, they probably already talked about it and so kissing on new year was just so natural to them. Then we get emotional whiplash with Alan being in an accident... also wearing both his and Wen's ring clearly telling us he's not moved on yet.... This is going to get messy again..... The preview... Jim saying that to Li Ming was a shock but then when you think about all he has been through, you understand he just doesn't wish all that hardship for his nephew... I'm curious to see how the fight will play out. I'm also curious about Li Ming's mom and the reasons why Li Ming doesn't live with her. Once again, another master piece of an episode! Can't believe we only have 2 left....
