Lan Zhan's "dry gayness". 🤣 I am slowly catching up with your reactions, enjoying very much! In this episode, you recorded on two different days because something came up. And that reminded me of how I watched this show when I rewatched it, and is a totally valid way to handle this show. You are just now getting to the part (you just posted ep 14), when it becomes almost impossible not to binge watch this show. It's extremely addictive! If you plan to continue watching at a steady pace as opposed to binging (which I totally support you on if you have the willpower! I watch a lot of your gmmtv reactions, too, haha, you've got a lot going on!), the truth is that they just kind of divided the episodes randomly, almost always ending on cliffhangers. So actually pausing for the day whenever you come to what feels like a good stopping place, rather than at the official episode breaks, might allow you to survive not binging. That is my advice as someone who really suffered watching this while it was first airing. Ahhhhh, I was a mess waiting for episodes. 🤣 Thanks for continuing with this even though it's such a huge commitment!

Mhm Baoshan Sangran and Lan Yi's relationship is meant to mirror Lan Zhan and Wei Ying in a way. As you watch more of the series, you'll see multiple other character duos that do the same

Now the count begins of how many times WangXian got married in this series 😂: no.1 - the cave, Lan Zhan tied his wrist to Wei Yings with his forehead ribbon

for sure. And he should listen to all the OSTs as they give quite a bit of backstory to how characters are thinking

I think it will be better if he watch them after watching the whole show.

Tu'er Shen precisely. A short movie was made with that God where he seduce a restaurant worker to help him accept his sexuality.
Wonderfully made.

Just a little Chinese cultural note. I'm not Chinese, so I hope I don't say anything wrong (if someone please correct me), but in essence, from what I gathered from the thing I read, there's a god named Tu Shen (the Rabbit God) in Chinese mythology who manages love and sex between men, so rabbits are often used as a symbol of queerness. The cave scene is something that isn't in the novel, as it is specific to the drama, but there is a different way of introducing rabbits there, and in the fandom, rabbits became something that inherently belongs to LWJ.

I love how LXC sent WWX to the cold spring, where he knew LWJ was bathing naked at the moment. Practically serving his brother his crush on a silver platter. His matchmaking skills are amazing. 😄

This will be better and better, what fantastic about this show is the plot, it takes time.
