Kiyoi actually protects Hira throughout the series . To me it is a show you can't really watch through the average romance series lens, bc their dynamic is more extreme. Just feels like it dips into bdsm.

2022-05-11 04:22:16 +0000 UTCThis story is really cute , You will see later, Kiyoi act this way but its not his trueself , he protect Hira in some ways too, he took the bottle of water that Hira have take for him and not his usual drink first, he say to Hira to take his time to talk , taht he can wait for him ... its all in the details,it more complicate than it look. and the Actor who play Kioyi is a singer, he's in a groupe name "FANTASTICS" from EXILE TRIBE , both actors are cute together behind the scene and the one who play Hira even go at his concert

Hes treating Hira like that so that no one else will bully him, thats why he stood up for Hira against the other guy who tried to make him clean and he doesn't care that Hira stutters, after Hira caught him dancing and Hira tried to explain, Kiyoi even said "just take your time, I'll wait for you"

2022-02-02 07:34:45 +0000 UTCMmmm, I don't know if it's because i'm so sensitive to people not being able to say what they mean but..Kiyoi seems Tsundere; Where his words do not match his emotions or even actions sometimes. It would be hard to tell, but, it's in the little things, here's what I saw: The first time our leads spoke to each other, Kiyoi said Hira was creepy but he paused before saying that and also didn't look at all creeped out even though Hira was being a little creepy, let's be honest ppl. When they were in the classroom and Kiyoi told Hira to go wait in line for a table at the restaurant, he said that right after his friends tried to foist their work on Hira and....he also found a way to give Hira his number without making it too obvious that that's what he was doing lol. When the other guy in their class tried to make Hira clean up after he knocked the bucket of water over, Kiyoi got angry and protective because someone else was trying to bully Hira who belongs to what he sees as his group and also, maybe, he unconsciously was trying to live up to Hira's expectations by keeping him safe from everyone else's gaze, I mean, Hira did thank Kiyoi for allowing him to become invisible and be left alone by the other people in their class. When Hira stalked Kiyoi to his dance class, Kiyoi called Hira a nuisance afterwards but he also immediately told him to take his time and that he would wait for him to speak and he also chose to drink the water that Hira bought for him, that he didn't ask for btw, instead of just drinking the ginger ale that he actually wanted. Also, and this isn't a general statement, but I bet a lot of people, when y'all first got a crush on someone you weren't expecting to, y'all know those feelings and the person who made you feel them were frustrating and annoying and a nuisance because you just couldn't help but want to orbit them, even despite those qualities. Just my observations of Kiyoi's character, everyone is entitled to their own opinion though.

2022-01-31 21:41:01 +0000 UTCI don't know if it's obvious or not from just the drama, but just wanted to point out that Kiyoi never once calls Hira "Hi-kun," or "Stutz," as they translate it here. Maybe this doesn't seem like anything big or noteworthy, but to Hira, it meant a lot. I know it's easy for everyone to hate Kiyoi (I was annoyed with him too my first time watching), but things are not always as straightforward as they appear.

When I was finally able to separate myself, it was like I was watching an entirely new drama. There are so many subtle things and nuances included here that make it so interesting.

And yes Kiyoi is an ass but I wouldn't be overly friendly to someone who was following me, taking my photo and staring at me all the time. I love them both but accept that they are far from perfect individuals.

I also had to separate my feelings from Hira's which is hard. Probably one of the most complex storylines right now. Also the actors are so freaking talented. I would say wait till it's over to watch all their BTS and TikToks. They are fun.
