Just watched the movie and season 2…. Since it’s basically the same but season 2 gives us a bit more everything!! They should’ve did the movie with a different storyline. Season 2 was better! Even got more Wesley and Terrance. Hope they come out with a season 3

2022-01-03 18:22:48 +0000 UTCI get what you're saying about the Aunt but this whole idea that we as LGBTQ people have to educate those who are homophobic bigots just upsets me. Like it's so ridiculous that we have to teach people how not to be ignorant. The same goes for POC in regards to white people. It's not our job to teach white people about racism or how not to be racist/ignorant in regards to race. I don't even think them being from a different generation is even an excuse anymore. For the simple fact that there are resources everywhere that can provide them enlightenment. On top of basic human decency & respect people should have for other individuals regardless of their religious background. It infuriates me that this is a thing in 2021. To me there should be no understanding for people who push any type bigotry. Outside of the sh*tty aunt the movie was good. The fact that she used the fact that Gavs other aunt has stage 3 cancer to not only guilt him but also to make it seem like she was in the right is foul & just adds on to how disgusting people like her are. 2022-01-03 15:30:40 +0000 UTCSo... The movie was good, the chemistry was insane. Still, I cannot help but to compare with Hello Stranger The movie. All the drama in Gameboys cames fron the outside (family, friends, social, virus, church, moral...you name it) while in Hello Stranger all the drama came from within (characters growth, trust, feelings...). Overall, I really prefer Hello Strangers. Their story was more true to me, more realistic while Gameboys left me with a sense of: ok-I-ve-just-watch-a-drama-on-TV. I still enjoyed the movie but since I'm not a fan of over-melodramatic situation, I cannot totally dive into their struggle. Basically it was like the serie. Every episode of the serie Gamreboys got a drama (the ex, death, family obligation, car brokedown to block a visit...), while in Hello Strangers the flow was more fluid. Amusingly, I may seems to be a grinch but that's OK, we cannot please to everyone just like a show cannot please anyone.
