Even in the scene where Seo Joon went to deal with the guy that was blackmailing Ji Woo he didn't get angry at Ji Woo for keeping it from him or that he was dealing with it behind his back like the usual trope where the character feels betrayed and he will distance himself from the other person. I think once he found out what happened he knew Ji Woo was trying to deal with it himself and Seo Joon knew he doesn't have the money/power to fix the issue so he goes to resolve it himself instead of just assuming things and getting angry at Ji Woo. I think that's another reason why I loved their relationship. Even though they have different personalities they try to understand each other in small ways that mean alot. I could go on about this series because I have so much that I loved about it and want to talk about ❤

2021-03-23 00:48:01 +0000 UTCI love that Seojoon is a character with his own agency, like usually in shows where they use the trope where one character lies to the other about their feelings to push them away, a lot of the time the other character will just take it at face value and are like 'well if you're saying it, it must be true'. Whereas when Jiwoo does it (both in the closet and in the final scene of ep 8) Seojoon is like, hold on a second, this doesn't seem right, is there something wrong? etc. I think this is one of the reasons why this show in particular stands out to me for having realistic characters. They don't "fall" for the tropes you could say. After Jiwoo asked Seojoon to leave I was fully expecting it to be the tried and true "character A asks character B to leave and they do, then character A regrets it and has to win them back" so I literally GASPED when Seojoon walked back in the door and was like I understand that you're trying to have a miscommunication trope with me, but I like you and I'm not going to walk away from you because I think you like me too and we can work this out together 😂 Such good writing in this show to be able to divert away from trope expectations!

2021-03-22 14:28:42 +0000 UTCI’m so glad you’re loving this. The other actors are good as well but the main leads are what made this series so addicting for me. The chemistry and the drama involving their different personalities is really well done. Ji Woo is so reserved so he doesn’t trust Seo Joon or the fact that he actually likes him. It’s so heartbreaking. You are going to love Episode 9 and that’s all I’m going to say.
