Heeey what's up you guys NOT After show reacts here with another comment of the day. Oh hey look it's Constantine. This episode had the working title of Another Working Day. After Tosh suggests that they could “feed the world” with the meat from the alien, Ianto sarcastically replies that they “could release a single”. This is a reference to the 1984 charity single, “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” RTD states the alien was designed to be "one of Torchwood and Doctor Who's biggest monsters" not in terms of concept but its "literal size". RTD said "why isn't it just a great big whale in a warehouse?" Catherine Tregenna who wrote several episodes of Torchwood characterises the final design as resembling "a giant kebab" that looks like early 2000’s CGI. I like how Shan stopped herself from the usual ‘alrightyo that was another okay episode to being like yea nah yea not for me’ that’s the kind of honesty I’m here for. Also why are they trying for a love-triangle with Jack/Gwen/ and Rhys when she’s been on Owen for ages. 2.9 million viewers when the episode aired and there was a family friendly pre watershed version on BBC3.
