Meredith in therapy, wow. Now let’s see if they show a decent therapist. Hopefully she’s not ones of those Ally McBeal therapist. Many people that work in a hospital get treated there, when it is needed, that includes therapy. In fact, they usually reduce the cost if you do it there. Hey, the swollen foot guy is Cheech Marin from Cheech and Chong fame. Poor Shan, its one of those gross episodes. The keep showing people’s internals. But it is funny every time they get you. After Izzy told Bailey why she was running all those tests to rule out a bunch of rare diseases, O’Malley said to Bailey “When you hear hooves, think horses not zebras”. In other words the most obvious answer is usually the correct answer. Izzy shouldn’t be looking for usual causes for his illness, but you look for the obvious one. Surgical interns in Seattle make around $60,000 a year. With George and Lexi combining their money, they could easily get a better place then that crap hole of a house. Poor Cheech, he got abused. He most likely had to pay some of that, lucky for him the US eliminated insurance lifetime limits right around the time this show came out or he could taken a big chunk of that out.

2025-09-11 03:38:42 +0000 UTCIt does feel unethical to see a therapist that also knows you, but I suspect they have free therapy for all doctors in the hospital so that’s where it comes from. Honestly i respect Lexie’s creativity in finding items from the hospital storage. Not sure i’d have made the same choices though. The unexpected head injury was pretty gruesome. More that it came out of nowhere I think. Crazy what adrenaline can do. The “when you hear hoof beats think horses not zebras” is just saying that horses are far more likely to be around so even though zebras would sound the same there’s no reason to assume it’s not horses. In other words, even though this could be a medical mystery of various varieties it’s unlikely so probably a waste of time and money. I agree, I’m really glad they didn’t find something wrong with the guy and make it so that Izzie was actually right all along. I really thought they were going to do that when Richard came in at the end. Thought he was gonna say “well it was worth it because his leg just fell off and the time you spent doing the tests meant he was still here” or something stupid like that. The “scrub room” sign that Lexie stole made me laugh. Of all the things to take why would you take that??
