I think the story you are talking seeing, is from classic who a black and white 60s story called the chase, in one of the episodes the daleks appear up in a ship at sea

This special is alright in my books, didn't mind Kylie Minogue being in it, in fact this episode introduced me to her (I wasn't big on music when I was a kid, so I had never heard of her before). That scene of the Doctor telling everyone who he is, has lived in my head rent free since I was 10 and still does cause its awesome. Also if I could pick where the ship was going crash I'd chose the White House with Trump inside, I am aware it would destroy Washington but Trump would be dead and the world would be better off without him.

Wanted to say, yes that guy is indeed from Being Human, but also he was in the Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Eath X. I forget his superhero name, but he was Captain Cold's boyfriend. :)
