Hell of a 1st season of Gotham! So many twists and turns, saw the Flying Grayson's Dicks parents, a maybe Joker? Seeing Penguin rise to power was fun. Fish wasn’t my favorite character but I have to give Gotham credit for making a original female gang boss who’s of color, in the main cast and connected to helping form Penguin into a bigger mob boss. Even for the time this came out I like how Gotham is subtle and not beating us over the head with the relationship drama too much. Seeing some of the characters we’ve come to know go crazy I love. Nygma having his mental breakdown after so much build up is great and even Barbra’s after her split from Jim. Its only been a day and Barbra already trying to kill Dr.Lee lol, while the guy did kill Barbra’s parents he told her to choose who to kill otherwise he’d kill her which is why Barbra is so messed up. I always forget the detail about Butch this season but he was held captive by Victor Zassz for a week or 2, brainwashed into following penguins orders, then is so messed up he shoots Penguin making his leg with the bad foot that Fish crushed in Ep.1 with a chair worse. The parallel between Gordon & Bruce’s fathers both being good men but having something as small as a knife in there back pocket or a secret is really well done. Alfred and Bruce’s dynamic is so fun at teasing what will be the actors are great and WTF Bruce’s dad had a batcave ?! What if he was a older superhero? Everything with Selina I'm just having fun with, her and Bruce’s dynamic as friends but teasing something more is well done. There both cute kids and they got good chemistry its hard to find good kid actors. Seeing Selina want to gain more street cred and some criminal power with her joining Fish’s gang however short was fun since so far she’s just been homeless and stealing since her mom left. Wayne Enterprises being corrupt I wanna know more about, like maybe its a version of the League of assasins? Bruce investigating that is interesting also hope to see Lucis Fox more he was a welcome surprise

2025-07-03 06:30:09 +0000 UTCHi Shan, the guy playing Gillian Loeb, Peter Scolari also makes a non-speaking appearance as an old lady in the elevator near the end of the episode. I don’t know why maybe he was bored and wanted a change.
