Greer is a Master Seargent, a high ranked enlisted man. Scott is a Lieutenant, a low raked officers. All officers out rank every enlisted person. Even the highest ranked enlisted person in the military with 48 years’ experience is outranked by the lowest ranked officer with 1 day of experience. It is usually the responsibility of higher ranked enlisted persons to assist the lower ranked officers until they gain experience and higher rank.
