I agree with you on the slap. A TINY bit of slack on his being angry and upset, but not on the slap. That was over the line. He could yell at Meredith, blame her, storm out of building and I would say “He is upset and not in his right mind”. But hitting a woman, his daughter. No. That’s too far for me. I liked the backdoor pilot but I feel the show is a little better than it’s portrayed here.as I remember it (was a long time ago). I honestly don’t remember who got recast with a couple exceptions that I remember. The Izzy George thing is wrong. Break it off. Either with Izzy or Cali. One or the other. Done. I wasn’t angry at Burke in the conversation with his mother. He was saying the Cristina had gone above and beyond in supporting him by going along with all the crap both Burkes Mother and Cristina’s mother (lets not forget a lot of this crap is from Cristina’s own family as well). And he was angry at his mom for, in his opinion, trying to sabotage his marriage to Cristine. He was defending Cristina. Yeah, I didn’t get the weird look Derek gave Meredith at end when she was drinking with Izzy and Karev.

There was a time where i was watching it more than Greys, but it has been a while since i watched it so I'm curious if my opinion of it changes. I'm good with Greysverse, it does make more sense than Shondaverse considering there are other shows. There are some Greys and PP crossovers, happy to offer advice on watch order if you need but i assume you already have someone :) I completely agree with you about Kisses in TV and movies. I am not surprised you thought Violet and Cooper were siblings, they have that vibe. Thatcher slapping Meredith was too far, even though he was grieving that was too far.
