Definitely my favorite episode of this season. I know you were frustrated that Shoto’s fight against Dabi didn’t finish their story, but I think it pays off here with involving the entire Todoroki family.
When the police talk about Dabi’s “capture”, they mean when Shoto won their fight before he got back up.
The animation for Dabi’s hellish form, the Great Glacial Augir, and Iida&Shoto’s rush to Gunga were absolutely stunning, and I’m glad Iida got to help Shoto, paying him back for what he did for him since Season 2, and that Stain now sees him as a true hero.
I won’t lie, seeing quirkless All Might about to confront All For One got me emotional.

This episode was my favorite out the WHOLE season! 😁
I was just saying how I haven't cheesed since this war started, but as soon as I hear someone panicked about Dabi, because they had no idea what to do I'm like a kid excited!
Then All Might comes on the radio and necessitates a change in strategy for Dabi, and All for One.
The Dabi missing his family inside; realizing that all he had to do was walk in, and talk to them along time ago when they all showed up was amazing...
Then the Dabi on the outside "I hate you all..." "You deserve to freeze in hell" "Why can't you all just die" as he's frozen and crying saying all this like he's a little kid again, letting out the stuff with words he always wanted to say with everyone around him, and Endeavor finally there to realize all his pain, and all the watching Dabi been doing over the years on him, and he finally apologized to him for not meeting him, and everything else...
Then you realize all the "I hate you" stuff while frozen with tears is just him saying he actually still loves him...
Yo... 10 out of 10 for this episode from me... If anything else happened, and I failed to comment on it then it wasn't important lol.
And thank you for the Sailor Moon breakdown. I laughed so hard when you told me that tuxedo mask name was Darien, and I forgot! That's probably another reason why I mess with him so hard, because "Darien" is a black name 😂😂
When you said that was his name in the dub, and you never met one in your life it was too funny, but at the same time not surprising! 😆 I've met about two or three of them in my life time.
It's so hilarious to me because it brings up a memory of my friend who actually has the Whitest name in the WORLD. He was watching "The Amazing Spider Man 2" And as soon as this white chick comes up, and her name is said on screen he's like
"Felicia!?"
"That's a sistas name! What she doing named that!?" I laughed so hard... Because the black cats name isn't something I pondered over as a kid watching her in Spider-Man. Then he pointed that out; I was like...
Oh.. My... God... Felicia is a black name! 😂
Never met one though.
Shannan or Shannon is a black name too! 🤣 It makes me wonder what's your sister's name, and how did your parents come up with them.
There are some names that can pass no matter the color like Kevin, Jerry, Stacey, and... Lisa? Maybe Lisa... I know for sure Kim passes 😆
I'm sorry your "Darien" thing took me to a funny memory 🤣
I did watch the dic dubs, and the subs.
Many people don't like watching anime in subs, but I LOVE them. As of a matter of fact I rather dubs along time ago like other people, because who TF wants to read while they're watching a show right?
I had this huge debate over it with some guy on YouTube YEARS ago why dubs are better to watch than subs. This dude was just so chill about it, and was like "One day you going to see what I'm talking about"
And you know what? He was right! I started off reading subs, because "Case Closed" dub episodes ended at 130... Then I found out it went by another name... Detective Conan...
Ok so not only are the names different in the shows, like you've mentioned about Sailor Moon, but some plots in episodes, and characters are different as well.
For example... In the dubbed version of Sailor Moon there are two members that are said to be cousins. But in the sub version they are lovers.
In OG dragon ball General blue was a child molester in the sub version while in dub they changed it to him having heart in his eyes when he seen that little boy was because he lost his little brother a long time ago, and he was never found, so the little boy reminded blue of his "Brother" 😒
I guess what I'm saying is I realized that dubs are the watered down versions while the subs are the darker versions.
I still love the dubs of animes though, like that list I gave... There are just some dubs that are perfect. I haven't even watched the dragon ball franchise subbed, because the dubs are A#1
As far as DB Daiam goes... To answer your question on that... I have seen the first few episodes when it came out from sub and dub... It starts off again after the battle with Buu, and this time Uub was never mentioned... There is no god of destruction. The first few episodes I really like. Then again... I'm a huge GT fan, so.... By the way people... GT is best to watch during nights... Back to the new show. I only got up to 6 episodes. I'm waiting for all the dubs to finish, because they got back the OG VA for Goku as a kid again
Ok so this is MY head cannon... Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT... Same universe...
Dragon Ball Kai, and Super... Same universe...
The first franchise is for people who don't mind the fillers too much, and never read the manga.
The 2nd franchise is for the people who have read the manga, and love the fact that there's no fillers in the Kai and Super universe. But.... There is no blood in Kai either... At least not in the dubbed version... I don't know about the subbed. There is rarely blood in Super... So the 2nd franchise is shorter, and more kid friendly in my opinion.
The first one is longer, but with more blood. The complaints is it's not cannon to manga when it comes to some episodes, and movies. The writers made the movies cannon to the show though. That's all that matters to me. And you still get most of the arcs you read in the manga.
Not every Marvel and DC show or movie is compatible to its comic counterparts but I enjoy reading, and watching them anyway 🙂
Well that's my head cannon for the dragon ball franchise
