Her attitude towards George and Callie is crazy. Just comes across as jealousy tbh. To answer your question, I think it’s quite common for doctors to not change their names when they get married, at least their professional name. So she may be Callie O’Malley legally but still Dr Torres professionally. I believe it’s so that any research they publish before changing a name is all accredited to them. It also helps with the TV show to not have multiple doctors with the same name i guess. I’m not a big fan of TV shows doing these sort of afterlife scenes. I don’t think they even did it too awful here, but it just isn’t for me i think as a concept. Nice to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan again though i guess. It does feel a bit anticlimactic teasing Meredith dying when the show is called Grey’s Anatomy and you know the show has many more seasons… Gray’s anatomy is a real medical book though from the 1850s so it doesn’t necessarily have to refer to a person with that name in the show! I find it a bit icky sometimes how when it’s a known character the doctors are all shown to be trying so much harder and it more often than not ends up working and saving their life. I know its all for the TV show and I get it, but how many lives could they have saved if they just had Cristina there yelling at them to try one more time or using jedi mind control to make them speak.
