Stargate Universe S01E13 - Faith FULL REACTION

In real life there's something called the Kardashev scale It measures a civilization based on it's power/control over resources and their technological development ...It's all pretty theoretical cause ...What do we really have to base it on? We humans (real-world) are low on the scale and count as a Type 0 civilization (0.7 or 0.8 to be exact) ...We have basic control over our own resources ..We know how to harness some forms of energy and we have made some attempts to go into space but nothing really HUGE. yet compared to what other civilizations might be capable of The Tau'ri would be more of a low Type 1 civilization ..Maybe 1.2 or 1.3 on the scale (WITH the knowledge we've gained) in that they can travel to other planets and even other galaxies and have a somewhat limited understanding of how to generate an enormous amount of power (ZPM's) although that's borrowed tech so it shouldn't really count ....Although it might not seem this way ...The difference between 0.8 and 1.2 is BIG. ...REALLY. BIG. The NON-ascended Ancients are perhaps Type 2 ...They were advanced ...But... They don't meet all the requirements of actually being classed Type 2 ...One of the biggest requirements for such a class would be if they were able to construct a dyson sphere ....A theorized huge sphere like object AROUND a entire star ..Essentially enclosing the star INSIDE of it for the purpose of harnessing it's power ...We've never seen Ancients do anything on that scale ...And even if they COULD. build something like that it would still JUST. be a huge facility The civilization supposedly being talked about in this episode would classify as a Type 3 civilization (if not higher.. but then the scale would have to be updated) ....They can apparently create stars and planets and seemingly do so with ease ...It's not far fetched that some people were bringing their religion into the conversation since a civilization on that scale would be godlike ...MAYBE. the ascended Ancients create planets and stars ..We don't know for sure ...Whoever this civilization was that created this planet and it's star ....They just beat the Ancients to the top of the list of most powerful aliens in the Gateverse Questions arise though ...Who are they and why did they create this place? And we're ending the episode by repeating the question of which side was right Considering the options ...I'd LOVE. to be aboard Destiny and travel between worlds ...I'd even accept the fact I'd have to adapt ..JUST. to get the opportunity to be there But to POTENTIALLY... MAYBE... Have a chance of meeting aliens who are far beyond anything we've ever seen on Gateverse ...It's tempting ...I suppose it would all come down to whether or not these aliens WOULD come back ...We don't know Buuuuuttttttt... Since I don't make decisions based on faith but instead I make decisions based on facts I'd go back to Destiny and enjoy the journey into the unknown ....and besides ...I fucking hate camping.
