I answered, probing, lots of probing and of course slow dancing... ♪♪ Lady in red ....♪♪ Chloe, joining the bad guys. Wow, didn't see that coming. OK, I'm going to use a trick that was mentioned in a previous episode. To buy they time and keep the ship from going into FTL, all they had to do was dial a Stargate and have someone hold there arm in it event horizon. We saw before the ship will hold off on closing the gate as well as holding off FTL until the arm is removed. While a civilian government is in charge in our country, a ship at sea is absolutely ruled by its Captain and after him the military chain of command. Even if the Leader of the country were on board, the Captain is still in charge. It has been this way since the age of the Vikings in every country. The reason is at sea (or in space) there are dangers and hazards that only an experienced and trained Captain can deal with. In most emergencies, there isn't time to debate with civilian authority on want actions to take. Ans also, Young is under the command of SGC which is controlled by the IOC. Which is civilian command. Its no different than when General Hammond, General O'Neil or General Landry were in charge of the SGC.

You had trouble figuring out who I meant when mentioning Wray ....Disgusting Froots ...You should be ashamed of yourself Meanwhile you've been able to name all of the other main characters by either first or last name ...But it's entirely your own fault for giving characters nicknames instead of using their proper names There's no such character as Ming-Na onboard Destiny ..It's either Camille ..Or Wray And don't give me shit that nobody calls these characters by their last name .......What's colonel Young's first name? (No cheating) ...Yeah.. Didn't think so 😏

2025-04-18 00:12:48 +0000 UTCOk I skimmed the recording yesterday while creating the zip files I don't know who made you think that the ---> Destiny set <--- is a redressed version of the SGC ...But whoever it was was either wrong or you misinterpreted it The Icarus base from the pilot... Y'know ..The base they escaped from TO Destiny was the SGC set So no... They didn't do anything with the saturation to make it look different ...The Destiny set was ENTIRELY it's own thing Little random note regarding sets: David (Eli) actually mentioned a few days ago that while doing a table read for the pilot episode ...The Destiny set was still being built and for some reason they were doing said table read on the Atlantis set ...I guess by that time they hadn't decided to deconstruct the Atlantis set yet As for your question "Whose side are you on?" As with every decision I make ...Even when it doesn't seem obvious ...I choose MY. side Whichever side is most beneficial to MY. interests and I will screw over anyone and everyone who tries to get in my way In this case ...The answer is obvious ...Young had control of life support and had the military know-how to take back Destiny And as a military guy ...REALISTICALLY. ...He would have ZERO. issue with using life support as leverage against Rush's side (I know I would have used it if it were me and if it'd get me what I wanted) There would also no fucking way in hell that Rush's side would be able to hold control over the military side for long ...Young's side is trained to handle stuff like this ...The civilians are basically the equivalent of the people in Alexandria before Rick showed up So yeah ...I'd go with Young on this one even though I'm not a fan of military control in real life ...But if it'd get me what I want ...Which would be for things to just go back to normal ...Whatever "normal" may be on Destiny ...In this case Young's side is the best option That said ...They reaaaaallly need to start working together ...They got bigger problems to deal with than their internal disagreements
