1x8 Good point about them not delving into the catholic arc of his character. Poindexter was an ex cop, he would not be treated well in general population in prison. Josie, the bartender said “He didn’t even use his cane.” He still had it folded in his hand. She was just noticing he walked out straight to the door without needing to use his cane to ‘feel’ the way. OK, did Matt smash his face into table, knowing Poindexter’s tooth would come out, giving him a weapon. Because: a. That is a big stretch to know Poindexter could use a tooth as a weapon with his hands tied. b. If Matt knew that, then its reasonable to assume he knew Poindexter would kill people to get out. That makes Matt somewhat responsible for innocent people, the doctor and the guard getting killed. Actually, I like the Swordman. In the comics, he is the one that trained Hawkeye in bladed weapons (someone else taught him archery) while they both worked at a circus. He was an interesting character the switched from villain to hero and back repeated. He was even married to Mantis at one point. Interesting twist, Venessa being the one that killed Foggy. Did she do it do it to get Matt to kill Fisk? Or to get Fisk to come back to her? Definitely curious as to why Matt took a bullet for Fisk. He set Poindexter loose to kill Fisk Did he realized Fisk was the wrong target and therefore saved him? Poindexter says to Matt in the prison when talking about Matt, in another life defending him, "Cause that's what good men do, right? Defend their worst enemies?" Matt does just that by defending the Kingpin. 1x9 Ok, so it’s the Good men defend bad men thing. Vanessa was covering for the Red Hook dock lawless area thing when she had Foggy killed. Will, Frank got his way, White Tiger’s killer got blown up. Someone needs to tell Fisk, Mayors can’t declare Mashal Law, need to be a Governor of the State or President.

2025-04-21 11:32:23 +0000 UTCI think the season as a whole was a bit disjointed. There were episodes that were good but then others that were boring AF. This one wasn't boring but I think it ultimately failed to deliver on what they were building towards, another showdown with Fisk. Then, he says we need and army and who shows up? A bunch of defecting cops. No one from the Defenders and no other major MCU characters. I don't expect that throughout the season but this is the finale. Fisk just became a tyrannical mayor. That would certainly affect everyone else that fought crime in New York. I don't buy that they are all just in hiding. At least one other superhero has to be like I can't stand for this. The fight scenes though were brutal and Fisk popping that guy's head like a grape. I just think they took too long to really get things moving. And now, we still have to wait another season to see what's going to happen as a result. The Netflix Daredevil show was just much better paced. They would have a good balance of action and drama throughout and each threat within that season was dealt with in the season finale. Now, we still have Bullseye at large, Fisk is running the city with an iron fist (no pun intended, haha), Punisher is held captive and Matt is holding meetings. I am looking forward to season 2 but I hope they don't keep this push and pull thing going because it will really be tiresome.

2025-04-17 18:01:22 +0000 UTCI gotta rewatch this whole season I really loved it , Fisk has more power than ever and they really couldn't solve everything by the end and I like that like how can you get Fisk out of office, free all the people he has captured in cages and then get all the people he has in his pocket he has a whole army of rogue cops and political stuff now like it all can't be solved in 9 episodes. They really left ya feeling just a glimmer of hope at the end with Matt wanting to build up his own army to go to war with Fisk I hope to see the Defenders back too and maybe other vigilante's we don't know about
