I don't remember if they tried to hide things from Gregory at the beginning of the season, but I definitely don't remember them telling him at any point. Maybe that's why they were whispering so loudly when he was right behind them, because he already knew. So much Harry Potter. Yay, more stuff about the radio that I totally understand, pulling messages, heartbeats, dad added a bad piece, I am following it all. Hey Doctor Who reference. Their building up Max's reporter hookup and Isobel a lot now, I think they had one scene in a bar once, then she hooked up with Max, which I guess is a true love story, between her and Isobel. I am also glad that Kyle's here and not dead, as well as walking around and talking to people in the show again. Looks like Isobel can't go peeking into Dallas's head so easy. Oop, now there's a Star Wars reference, also there was a Pirates of the CarIbbean reference, so many references in this episode, not including the Stargate ones, because I don't know if that's meant to be a reference. Which I've never noticed before now, despite watching Stargate. Baby Yoda, you mean Grogu. Michael really does not want to get to know Dallas. Josh! When Heath walked into the office and Kyle turned and said "You". My brain for some reason saw them all greet each other like "You...Josh", Josh "Tyler", Tyler "Jackson". Wait, Max wrote a letter saying where the tapes were buried, so he did basically have a sign that said dig here, did he also write a letter about where he buried the sword. You should listen to Kyle, Heath, Jones is not someone you should trust to help anyone. Nice work Kyle, Don't die Kyle. So Kyle was supposed to be there. According to Isobel's text. At least Dallas seems like a nice alien, who doesn't appear to have any issues where he mind end up causing someone important in the friend group to die. Why is everything left in Kyle's office, Liz's bag, Max's letter of exactly where to look for things. Why are you suddenly getting good at your job Sheriff. Good work again Kyle, you got arrested Kyle. Hmm, I'm starting to think Kyle might have been right about Dallas maybe not reacting that well, but I couldn't quite tell. Yes, Michael good idea, get him to drive off the road, crash his vehicle and now you have another dead fourth alien. So, Michael doesn't want to have to back into the mindset of and face, everything he had to deal with when he was young, that's why he's avoiding Dallas, that is entirely understandable. "You have ice powers now!" Why are these places always so empty, so people can just be dying in the hallway and nobody notices. I feel like this storyline kind of came out of nowhere, but I like Heath and Dallas's friendship. Also, great scene with Michael and Dallas. Great Heath, thank you for listening to Liz. Kyle's going to do everything he can to help Dallas, you know it's interesting how much I like Kyle, considering how much I didn't like Tyler. Definitely Superman like stuff, although to be fair a lot of shows and movies do things like this, including Star Wars. Why do I get the feeling that's not Max...didn't have to wait long to find out I was right. Liz knew the minute she kissed him. Again, when did you get so good at your job Sheriff, oh you got shot...I care, I guess. I spoke to soon, Dallas might try to kill one of the friend group. I decided to put some thoughts down I had about Liz the scientist. I've always had mixed opinions about the Liz the scientist storyline, the writers chose to make her a brilliant scientist and that it was very important to her and to who she is. The way they've done the storyline, which they could've done differently, has kind of painted it in the typical, choose the guy or your work story and I kind of hate that story, being that they always have to choose one over the other and that it's usually the guy. So it made me want to see her fight for the science more. There's also the fact that she can save a lot of lives and I've never been great with the save a few people you know, over thousands to millions of other people choices, I don't think that, it's that easy of a choice. Also, this work she's done that she apparently shouldn't be doing, she's used to help Max, Isobel, Rosa and Maria. So if she wasn't doing her research, she wouldn't have been able to help a lot of them. But I do think that doing the research is dangerous, the danger is often overlooked by her and everyone just leaves all the information in really easy to find places, that is could lead to government experiments or as we've seen, people getting a hold of and using her research. So both sides, against and for her work have a point, but I've seen a lot of people against, so I'll choose to be for, just to give the opposite opinion.

It wasn't until 3x10 that the obvious Jor-el scene would happen ...I figured maybe it would've been a bit of a spoiler somehow to make the connection before YOU. would make the connection yourself A hologram of sorts of an alien father speaking to his son opening up with: "Hello, son" .....I mean ...Come on ...If that's not straight outta some Superman movie or hell even Smallville (although that was just Jor-el's voice) then I don't know anymore Anyways... I need to vent again Jeebus fucking a chrysler!! Liz strikes again!!!! Soooooo... After Max burned down her lab last year in order to keep the secret safe ...It seems our small town little Crashdown waitress got a bit more crafty at making sure her research on aliens was a bit more ......quote/unquote "secure". Yeah that's right... Bish made tapes... Granted this was Max's fault for not burning those too.. We'll get to that She made notes... And hid the notes inside the chimney and did so in front of Heath apparently cause mah dude knew EXACTLY. where to find that shit She made more notes... Which she hid inside of Kyle's office closet ...Y'know Kyle? ..The guy who was MISSING. for a while ...I mean there'd be no way a janitor could've come in there and find those notes right? ....Or what if Kyle had been M.I.A. just a little longer and his office got traded to another doctor?? ...There's no way they'd inform Liz of that ..Cause ..Well.. She doesn't work there On that note ...Why was the hospital letting Liz run her new secret lab out of Kyle's office?? They just let this rando run her own experiments outta Kyle's office cause what? ..She's friends with him?? ...Yeah that's not how hospitals work ...Is THAT. why she moved it to the Crashdown?? Did she get caught?? Anywaaaaaayyy she keeps hiding her research in various different locations ...Waiting to be found by anyone in the most dumbest of places either by accident or on purpose Max to Liz after learning about this episode's newest set of notes being missing: "Hey it's ok ...None of this is your fault" Eeeeehmm.. Bish... NONE. of this would have happened if Liz "I can protect you" Ortecho just got rid of her research after being confronted by Max last season about the dangers it presented to him and everyone else who's less than 100% human Everyone is in danger cause apparently the research is more important than the lives of the people she loves NOT. that Max isn't entirely innocent either ...Y'know ..Given he saved some tapes so he could listen to Liz's voice and "feel closer" cough loser cough Which in itself is a weird thing too ...Not the cough ...The "feel closer" thing Put yourself in Max's sizeable shoes... Or boots ...I dunno what he wears but I bet they're comfortable Imagine if your crush decided that their own selfish needs to be a "somebody" in the field of medicine or whatever was MUCH more important than keeping you safe... Cause that's literally what happened there They got angry at you and said they could protect you ...Keep in mind ...What they meant with that is that they could protect you from a multi-million dollar company and potentially the government aswell ...The sheer arrogance of this small town girl!!! But anyways.. As to nobody's surprise ...She FAILED. (whispers.. probably cause she was more concerned with serving customers at the diner) Aaaaand then she got mad at you for taking matters into your own hands to keep people safe Would you REALLY. want to still hear their voice (or for that matter want ANYTHING to do with them) after they treated your life and the lives of those around you (people they claim to love) so carelessly??? And sure ...Max is in love ...Cool ...Whatever ...But WHAT. was Liz doing in Los Angeles??? ...Oh that's right ...CONTINUING. her research!!! So quick recap ...She moved out of town in a huff ...And continued to do the VERY. thing that put the people she claims to love in danger!! Both Liz AND Max are fucking stupid ...Well... Technically it's the writers ofcourse ...This whole plotline is just drama for the sake of drama ...And some of it just comes out of nowhere too These notes are just all of a sudden a thing ...They show up in the most odd places ...There's a character who finds her tapes which were buried in the desert ...ZERO. explanation on how he even found those tapes or knew about their existence ..But sure.. Whatever A LOT. of this feels rushed to the point that it doesn't add up Still ...I like this show though
