I really enjoyed this two-parter, especially the second half. The first episode did feel a bit slow at times and I think it suffered a bit from the story originally being planned to be just one episode. However they ran too long during filming and it was split up into a two-parter, with some stuff like the clips of characters recording videos of themselves being added last minute to pad out the run time and make it two full episodes. But as a whole I really enjoyed the story and I do think if it had been cut down into a single episode it would've felt too rushed and we'd have missed out on a lot of character moments. I don't think Rush knew. Like you said, he may have had a hunch or suspected that something like that could happen, but nothing he knew for sure.

This is one of my favorite episode of SGU. I don't think it was a steam shower based on the water rations. No way they would allow that waste on drinking water. Probably some sort of chemical that pulls the grime off of your to clean. Think atomized hand sanitizer sprayed all over. Good call on that ship recharge Shan. It could go either way, but I'm guessing he didn't know until he was sitting there in bed. His actions there made me feel he was genuine.

I think only in the last moments just before the ship started to recharge he got a hunch about maybe why the ship was flying so incredibly close to that star . About Chloe and Scott yeah gross but maybe she's into stink who knows ? , whatever floats your boat i guess

2025-03-19 20:57:18 +0000 UTCI doubt Rush knew that Destiny had the capability of recharging it's power inside of a star (which btw.. is one of the fucking coolest features on a spaceship I've EVER. seen) I mean ..Sure the dude has been going through Destiny's database non-stop and most likely knows more than he's letting on ..And this is technically how he COULD have known Why let his withdrawal symptoms go so far that he'd go into a spiral leading to him blacking out if he KNEW Destiny plotted a course out of this mess? Why act surprised that they hadn't died yet.. While he was in his quarters... Alone? Why act joyful (again.. while being alone) when he checked the console in the control room after it took longer than expected for them all to die... If he knew everything was going to be fine? And don't tell me someone could've been around to see him so he could score some points and convince people he didn't know ..Why would there be anyone in the control room? They were all expecting to die ...They were either playing games in the mess, praying to their god or sitting nekkid in their quarters waiting to be boiled alive The only possible scene where he COULD. have faked his surprised reaction was when he ran into the observation deck and Eli and Chloe asked him what was happening and he claimed he was wrong and that they were going to live Nah ...He MIGHT. have had a hunch ...But there's no way he knew for certain ...Unless he's playing EVERYONE. But then ...IF. he's playing everyone ...And IF. he knew ...Why would he come up with a plan to bring the shuttle back? ...In one easy move he could've gotten rid of some people who were in his way With Camille (Ming-Na) out of the way the civilians on Destiny would be short a person that speaks for them With Scott and TJ out of the way ..Young would have much less support from his people And given Greer got locked up on Icarus for apparently punching Telford ..That was apparently to be understood from that conversation in the hallway between Young and Greer ...Greer wouldn't be much of an issue since........ Telford seems to be trying to get Young replaced and it seems Telford is in favour of some of Rush's plans so all Rush would have to do would be to sit back and wait for things to go his way (they'd probably lock Greer up again) But instead Rush came up with a plan to save the people onboard the shuttle Nah ...He couldn't have known ...Right?

But while I was making thumbnails a thought occured to me, 1x04 Chloe has a steam shower? and it is clear that nobody else has used this shower. the power goes out, so most likely didnt work anymore righttttttttt ok cool, this episode, chloe and scott smoosh and that is disgusting dude is say it with me F I L T H Y. CAN YOU IMAGINE? It makes me sick just thinking about it thats all. enjoy ur day :)
