UNOFFICIALLY they are named the Vanir (Vah-near) It was in an interview Gateworld did with Martin Gero (writer of the 2-parter) that the interviewer suggested the name Vanir and Martin agreed to the suggestion Why Vanir? ...Well it's cause in the Norse mythology there were 2 tiers of gods ..The Aesir (A-seer) which were the powerful gods who lived in Asgard whose names are very familiar to us (Thor.. Odin) and the Vanir who were elementals and spirits and were a bit of a sub-class to the Aesir The name is used in some of the Stargate novels later on (I think.. Tony don't fucks with books) ...BUT... The books are NOT. considered official canon (The only things considered canon are the SG-1, Atlantis & Universe TV shows, it's movies and partially the Kurt Russell movie it's based on) and since their name wasn't given in these episodes they are thus known by their other rather unofficial name The Lost Tribe

In this episode, when Daniel is talking about the millions of innocent lives that will be killed, the alien says "This is the way it must be."...This is the way...LoL Hmmm, they never said the names of these Asgard assholes. These Asgard are more like Ass Gaurds. 🤪 But it would have been interesting what Nordic god name the Ass-Guard leader would have. Maybe Jormungandr (have fun saying that name) the serpent god or Hodr, god of darkness and winter. Yeah, the helmets beaming up is weird. I agree, Ronin was saving face. He lost out on a beautiful woman to Rodney. He can never live that down. I wonder if this is when he started F'ing fish. (sorry, Peacemaker joke). Shannan going full Karen on the parking lot ladies. Awesome!
