Rude ....Next thing you'll tell me is that SG-1 showed up on Person Of Interest ...A show I also quit watching 4. Daniel and Vala ...DEFINITELY. a ship I support 5. Yeah nah that's not sus at all ....One moment you see a woman sitting at a table about to have dinner with someone ...The next you see her in the hallway slouched over another guy who claims "She needs some fresh air" ....RED FLAG!!! (Missed ANOTHER. opportunity) 6. Oh ok ...Seems like Qe'tesh also had a thing for treasures and misleading people ....Was Vala ALWAYS. a thief ...Or did she change into one AFTER. Qe'tesh got extracted from her? ...That's a question I'd like to see answered 7. Aight... These guys are probing Vala's mind and we're seeing some weird images ...One for instance being a bunch of Death Gliders making a fly-by past a sun ....Which begs the question ...Was Vala hanging out there in a space suit watching these gliders pass by oooorrrr??? ...Cause what the fuck was that!?! ...I believe there's another shot in there of SG-1 getting caught onboard a mothership ....GHWAT?!!? ...Someone behind this episode put ZERO. effort into those videos 8. Did some digging ...The stuntwoman/Trust Operative who got gunned down in the warehouse LOOKED. like Trubel from Grimm ...It was however NOT. her ...Good on you for NOT. looking that up 9. Aaaah ok ...This is the other episode where Teal'c interogates a suspect by mere intimidation ...I was wondering when that scene would come up ....I don't really remember anything else about this episode ...But THIS. scene ...It's funny 10. Aaaaand Vala starts remembering some more of her former life ....Like seeing SG-1 use the transport rings to get off of Sokar's planet back in Season 4 ...And SG-1 and a bunch of prisoners bowing down before Teal'c and his guards back in the pilot episode ......Either Qe'tesh/Vala was there ...Or like I said ...Someone put ZERO. effort into these flashback videos ......Or maybe Vala watched the show? ..4th wall break? 11. Vala is right ....Her name doesn't sound alien if you think about it ...I'm sure there's people on Earth who share her name or something quite similar ...But if you'd actually meet a real alien ...I expect their name would sound unusual ...Perhaps unpronouncable ...Some cultures in Africa for instance have people who have clicking sounds IN. their name ...Imagine a whole name with just clicking noises ...Or random animal noises as a name ...THAT. would sound closer to an ACTUAL. alien name I imagine /rant 12. Awwww... Daniel broke through to her and made her remember him and the rest of SG-1 13. Congrats Vala... Welcome to the team ..You more than earned it ....Looks like we've officially got a 5-person SG team now .....Nobody ever stated 4 was the rule 14. Daniel ...You took your female co-worker to a fancy place to grab a bite to eat ...You decided to dress all proper ...Probably told her she couldn't go out in a military uniform either which most likely made her order that dress from Amazon or some shit ...I dunno where women get dresses online (And I doubt Vala can just stroll off the base by herself)....You DIDN'T mention you were going out to ANYONE. else ...JUST. the 2 of you in this very romantic setting ...."It's just 2 co-workers sharing a meal" .....Yeah.... Sure mah dude... You went on a date ...........And I approve

2024-06-11 08:42:18 +0000 UTCIts always been clear that Daniel and Vala have a connection since the first episode she appeared in. I really hope they explore that and make it endgame. They deserve to be happy lol

2024-06-09 18:40:10 +0000 UTCI loved this episode. I know how much you hate amnesia storylines and i dont like them either but this was great for a few reasons. I love how it was Vala centric episode, i really love how it showed how much SG1 really does care for Vala. I like how it was all contained into this one episode to have this story, what i hate the most is when the amnesia storyline is stretched. Like with Juliette in grimm, it was way too long and got annoying. With self contained episodes like this it really lets us evaluate Valas character in her most vulnerable state where we see who she truly is and i love that we got to see that. It was also nice how she became an official part of SG1. I really do ship her and Daniel together, that was totally a date. This is my second favorite episode this season after the 200th episode. Vala is one of my favorite characters in the franchise so her extra screentime this episode really made me happy. Hopefully there are more Vala centric episodes that you are more keen to like.

2024-06-09 18:36:44 +0000 UTCI find the amnesia to be symbolic. The memory loss represents the shedding of Vala's old identity and former life. By the time we reach the end of the episode, Vala gains a new identity as an official member of SG-1. Her new life. One of the things I appreciate about this episode is it highlighting how strong Daniel and Vala's relationship has become. Most of it shown to us subtly. For example, when Mitchell walks into Daniel's office to report news on Vala, you can clearly see Daniel falling asleep while working. The implication being that he's sleep deprived because he's been working overtime to help with the search for Vala. Another example is when Vala finally encountered Daniel towards the end of the episode. Within only a few seconds of interacting with her, Daniel was able to get Vala's memories to return and when her memories came flooding in, even though we saw flashes of the whole team, there was clearly an obvious emphasis on her memories of Daniel. The implication here is that Daniel stands out from the others in the eyes of Vala. Her connection to him is clearly special and much stronger. You could also pick up on a vibe between the two during their "date" just before and during Daniel's speech in which he was praising her character growth. Based on everything we saw this episode, I definitely think that both Daniel and Vala have genuine romantic feelings for each other at this point.

The Vala and Daniel moments were good and the actors do seem to have very good chemistry together, but the story wad mid level at best. The last scene was sweet with Vala finally getting her patches but I think it should have included her taking the team out for dinner at the diner she worked at, just as a little bit extra to show how much she has grown. WTF waiter dude, you see a woman being carried out of a restaurant by somebody you know wasn't with her and who you moments ago seen she was fine and you dont try to stop him or even ask a question. you deserve to be fired waiter dude. So nothing happens with the blonde goa'uld chick? she's still just out there? Also the cops have no idea what Carter looks like so why send a lookalike to pick up Vala? Dumb writing. Finally Daniel for the love of god admit that you like Vala, i mean what's not to like, she's funny, smart, beautiful and has a smile that lights up a room, be a man and take her on date.

2024-06-08 18:06:48 +0000 UTCTeal'c DID tell Bra'tac that he should be the leader, but it just never happened. Probably another result of the show's storylines being over and the writers planning on the show not continuing, they had to undo some of the conclusions they made to have more story, so suddenly in season 9, it turns out he never became leader. I guess the writers wanted more conclict with the Jaffa, for some reason, which would make no sense if Bra'tac was in charge.

Even on the ones I've forgotten, memories usually kick in along the way but now with it done I still have not the slightest spark of recollection. personally I enjoyed it - don't know why it was so forgettable.
