The book originally appeared in September of 2014, and at the time 2021 seemed a ways off, but time sped by as it has a way of doing, and here we are in 2022. Still no Hive! Anyway, for any who are not familiar with this series, I hope you enjoy!

Like many of my older works, Masculinity was trapped on Amazon, as the computer where I had the file storied, crashed. As for my author's notes, the story itself started with a single scene: A man is in a drug store and finds himself obsessed with buying lipstick. That was all I had, but the scene kept coming back to me, maybe because I had lived that scene many times, and I finally began to write a story to go with the scene, starting with the question-- okay, why does he suddenly want to wear lipstick? From there, the notion of The Hive emerged, and the idea of them imposing "equality" by making men more and more like women emerged.
