Story by Beanie. The medieval fair that was coming to town promised to be an experience unlike any other. All the posters advertised a truly authentic experience for guests. Curious, Sarah decided to take her daughter Jazmine to go see it over the weekend. When the two arrived, they were impressed by the level of detail that went into constructing all the buildings. The town houses and castle walls seemed like they were straight out of a movie. The two came across a stand selling authentic medieval snacks. Wanting to try some, the two grabbed a snack each and offered the tender 10 dollars. Unfortunately, the tender refused the money and claimed he only accepted copper coins as payment (for authenticity). Obviously, Sarah didn't have any copper coins and was unable to pay for the snacks. Being unable to pay for the food they just took, the stand tender called out to the guards standing by to take these thieves into custody! Without warning, Sarah and Jazmine were pulled away by a group of men dressed as knights and brought to a room in a stone building nearby. There, the two were fitted into wooden stocks bolted to the floor. Sarah tried to explain the misunderstanding, saying she wanted to leave. The guard responded that she shouldn't have tried to steal food if she didn't want to be in prison. Just before leaving, one of the guards turned around, dropping their character for a moment, and explained. "By the way, since we can't legally hold someone against their will, we were forced to make some adjustments to our prison system here on the fair grounds. Now our jails are considered an "entertainment experience" through some legal loopholes. Don't worry, we'll still try to keep this as authentic an experience as possible and release you at the end of the day. Toodles!"
