Devlog Nov.07

Today we made an announcement on Steam; we’re in the homestretch though we probably won’t have enough time to polish the game, even for Steam release. The game will first come out on Patreon, then Steam. I guess it goes without saying that if we do this, the game will end up on some free websites. We’re ok with that. Those who buy games and those who download them are two different groups of people. Not everyone out there has money for games. Those who want to buy the game, they’ll do so.

A big plus will be the mass testing of the game prior to Steam release, which in turn can help us release a much more refined version of the game on Steam.

We’re trying to finish the update as soon as possible. Expect a release date announcement very soon.

Thanks everyone and bye.

I agree with you, but only partially. F95 and developers' dependence on it are relevant only for those who have only Patreon. Because Patreon does not have its own promotion system. We do not know how to promote our games and until we got on Steam, we had problems. However, Steam itself promotes the game and we don't need F95 as much at the moment. And that makes me happy)

I like the share ware idea: Try software, and when I like it I support the developer. My budget is tight, but still I like to support devs who deserve it. Everyone to his liking ... Btw. without trying, much less ppl will support. And without F95 I never would have known about Novel (or other good games like that), really.

Thanks)

I have the opportunity to download games through torrent. However, I buy games on Steam. Why? Because I think it is right and because I have the money for it. Have I always done this? No, I used torrents for a while. Those who buy games on Steam can also download them elsewhere if they want, but they buy them through official channels. If somebody doesn't have the desire or opportunity to buy games, let them download it. But thanks)

Novel

So why give you our money when we can download all of it for free from F95? You may not feel, or be, able to prevent theft of your property, but how bitterly disappointed I am to hear you say you're okay with it! But then who am I anyway, you may ask? I am, here, a voice speaking out for a dying belief against a deplorable truth. For example, in light of this belief, I can find no way to agree with you that "not everyone out there has money for games". At the prices being charged for this product, anyone who has spent money on the means to play these games (PC or phone), most certainly does have the money for these games. Those who truly don't have money for games, do not possess the means with which to play them either. However, in this age of rampant greed, immorality and unethical practices from the top down, it's both possible and easier to become a freeloader, many of whom (see F95 for examples) have the audacity to do it openly and unashamedly. It just sickens me to see so much talent, effort and creativity mostly sucked dry by those who are too shallow and shabby to give what relatively little is asked in fair return for the pleasure you creators bring us. My comments may be outspoken or misplaced, but they come from a heart that I believe is in the right place. Rant over.

Your game is really worth to support ... :)
