Unlock Kamen Riders in Douluo's Way Ch 76

Flender, despite the palpable malice radiating from Glorious Douluo Manla, felt no apprehension. He knew that no matter how cutting his words, the other man was constrained from acting on his anger.

A fundamental, written rule existed in the world of soul masters. Within formal educational institutions, battles at the Title Douluo level were strictly prohibited. Violations weren’t a matter of mere reprimand.

Any Title Douluo had accumulated enemies on their path to power. A misstep that opened them to attack could draw a swarm of opponents. Even a Title Douluo might not withstand such a coordinated assault.

True to form, Manla, after allowing his fury full expression, visibly suppressed his murderous intent, his face a mask of thunderous displeasure. Flender, in turn, subtly retracted his soul power, ceasing his defensive posture. The two powerhouses disengaged nearly simultaneously, allowing the teachers and students of Shrek Academy to release a collective, shaky breath.

The pressure from the clash of two Title Douluos was a force few could withstand. Had Flender not deliberately shielded those closest to him, many would have already succumbed to unconsciousness.

"Flender, don't pretend ignorance. I'm not here for idle conversation. Produce the Kamen Rider who battled our students!" Manla’s voice, though controlled, still held a sharp edge.

Flender smoothed his ruffled clothing with exaggerated grace, his tone casual. "Regarding that incident, I am aware. However, two points require clarification. First, the Kamen Riders are currently guests of Shrek, and unfortunately, they aren’t present at the moment. Second, I believe I sent a… substantial compensation afterward, which should have covered any losses. So, what more could you possibly want?"

"Hmph! Forced compensation, forced hospitality! Did you bother to ask if we desired your money? Today, I demand that Kamen Rider reappear and face my students in battle! If they lose, you will not only return the student to us, but publicly announce your error, apologizing to Canghui Academy for this insult!"

Flender's smile widened. Here's the real issue. Manla’s students were defeated by a boy who barely scraped past level 20 at the gates of the Soul Masters Guild. His students’ loss of face has wounded his pride.

Within days, several noble families removed their children from Canghui Academy, deeming the institution too embarrassing. Such a mass exodus would undoubtedly impact future enrollment.

So Manla arrived in person, seeking to restore his academy's reputation. Flender suspected he was aware that Yin Xiaoya was away and wanted to claim a cheap victory.

Flender had no intention of granting him that satisfaction. "To refuse a challenge is against my nature, but as I’ve stated, the Kamen Riders are guests of Shrek and are currently absent. Perhaps you’ve come to the wrong place?"

Manla sneered. "Or is he cowering, too frightened to face my aura?"

This old man, already a Title Douluo, is still so shameless. No wonder Canghui Academy’s reputation precedes it.

Seeing Manla’s descent into crude goading, Flender abandoned subtlety. "Since you insist on a fight, I propose a member of Shrek take on your students. After all, you’ve declared Shrek to be Kamen Rider’s puppet. So, surely it's fitting for me to stand as their representative, yes?"

Manla, clearly taken aback by Flender's audacity, was about to launch a counter-argument when a voice, brisk and confident, interjected.

"Dean, have you forgotten about me? Since Big Brother is away and someone has come seeking trouble, I can hardly stand idly by. Please allow me to accept their challenge."

All eyes turned to the speaker – a young girl, barely fifteen, with striking emerald hair.

"Pupu? What happened to you..."

It was Luo Pupu, and her changed appearance startled Flender. Ever since Yin Xiaoya left, she had sequestered herself in the Soul Tower, refusing to emerge. Now, she looked remarkably different.

Her long, emerald hair was the most apparent change, the coloration normally only occurring when her martial soul was active. Now, it was her natural state. While her dragon wings, claws, and tail weren’t visible, the constant emerald hue was surprising.

As she drew closer, Flender sensed the surge of soul power emanating from her. His eyes widened. Had it truly only been a few days since her second spirit ring hunt? She’d broken through to level 31! Could she have absorbed that spirit bone successfully? Even with a spirit bone, a jump of four or five levels is expected. A leap through a whole rank is excessive! What has she experienced in the Soul Pagoda?

"Hm? Just a girl who broke through level 30," Manla dismissed, easily sensing Luo Pupu’s cultivation. "I stated that I came seeking the Kamen Rider. Irrelevant parties, step aside!"

As the words left his mouth, Manla unleashed a wave of oppressive aura, directed at Luo Pupu. Flender, however, anticipated the move, countering with his own energy field.

Suppressing his shock, Flender glanced at Luo Pupu. He detected a fierce determination, the focused intensity of a veteran warrior.

"Dean, is it alright?"

Flender paused, then turned toward Manla, a calculating smile on his face. "Old man, how about Luo Pupu here battles one of your students? If she loses, I'll not only fulfill your earlier demand, but allow Canghui Academy to borrow Shrek's Soul Tower for a year!"

"Eh? Dean?"

This time, it was Luo Pupu who voiced surprise. While she possessed confidence in her abilities, she never expected Flender to offer such a high-stakes gamble. The Soul Tower was instrumental in Shrek's rise as the continent's premier academy, due to its exceptional system and educational standards.

Was this his belief in me?

Manla was visibly shaken by the mention of the Soul Tower. He sized up Luo Pupu, confirming that she had only recently broken through level 40 and hadn't yet absorbed a new spirit ring. There shouldn’t be any hidden tricks.

Before Flender could reconsider, Manla nodded slowly. "Very well. Let one of my students face her. However, given that she is level 30 at barely fifteen or sixteen years of age, she must be one of Shrek's carefully nurtured monsters. Such an elite warrior must have something extraordinary. In the spirit of fairness, I'll select a level 39 soul master to represent my academy."

"Fairness? He says, as if her late breakthrough isn't relevant, and he has a nine-level advantage." Besides, this old man would never guess that the seemingly fifteen-year-old Luo Pupu's appearance was a result of the physical changes triggered by her martial soul's evolution during her second spirit ring absorption. Her actual age was barely thirteen.

"Yes." Before Flender could protest, Luo Pupu agreed.

"Hahahaha! Excellent! It's as expected of Shrek. Such boldness! Dean Flender, please provide the arena."

Luo Pupu's lips curled into a smile as she turned to Flender. "Dean, remember to gather all the students to watch."

Her tone dripped with confidence. It's not because of my soul master strength. She is likely relying on her power as a Kamen Rider.

"Of course. This way, please."
