Get Notified When A TOUCH MORE CLASS Launches!

Hi guys! A TOUCH MORE CLASS is getting ever closer. I just wanted to share a couple of notes:

Get Notified When A TOUCH MORE CLASS Launches!

Right! As you've astutely noticed in the second comment, a card having one spell that can't yet be cast (because of available spell slots) does not make the card useless, only slightly less useful until the cardcaster gains another level or two. Keep us posted on how you're liking/disliking the revised cardcaster--as should anyone that makes use of the revised A Touch of Class classes!

Also, card 15 still has Force Cage (7th level spell), and card 16 still has Disintegrate (6th level spell). In the case of the game I'm playing a Cardcaster in, the DM ruled that those spells are swapped, so that an 11th level Cardcaster couldn't cast a 7th level spell. Of course, with spell slots that's no longer an issue.

Hey guys, here are a couple initial comments on the updated Cardcaster, I'm in the process of updating my current Cardcaster to the changes: Card 4 still has a 2nd level spell on it, which means a 1st or 2nd level Cardcaster would be unable to cast Hold Person, as it's a 2nd level spell, despite it being on their card. Interesting decision to switch to a "true" full caster, I'm curious to see how it runs at the table. I'm concerned that a Cardcaster that up-casts lower level cards might end up with a situation where they have cards in their hands with no appropriate level slots to cast them with. For instance, if a 7th level Cardcaster uses their 4th level spell slot to cast Burning Hands at 4th level, but they have the Wheel of Fortune and Strength cards in their hand, they are stuck with those 4th level cards until they can Mulligan them away, or take a long rest. It seems like there should be some sort of rule that allows a Cardcaster to discard cards that they have no spell slots for. Kind of like how the cards for 6th level spells and up were handled in the previous version. Of course, that could result in the draw pile running out before a long rest, a problem that didn't exist in the previous version.
